I received my Compaq Presario from a freind who said it was just junk. That night I was online with that very same tower. My tower isn't just your everyday Compaq though, because I was able to do a little with it. When it came out of the box it had an 80GB hard drive,now it has two for a total of 160GB. It also came with 256RAM which I also upgraded to 356RAM. Now I know you are saying so,but I'm only a high school graduate. shortly after buying my compaq it started having problems and crashed,all it took was one call to hp product support and I was up and running again. when it was determined that I had a defective hard drive, they sent one out in less than 48 hrs & did not cost me anything. I will stick with hp & compaq for all of my computer needs in the future because of their commitment to customer service. I also like the opitical drive since I take a lot of photos this makes it really easy to upload your pictures from your camera to your pc without the mess of a tangled usb cord.I do a lot of gpt offers online...
