Compaq Presario Notebook Computer —

I recently purchased a Compaq Presario SR5250 NX computer from Best Buy. It was in a great package deal with a nice HP 17 inch flat screen monitor and and HP all in one printer/scanner combo. The computer is super easy to set up, is very fast and has great picture quality. The price of about 600 bucks was awesome. I didnt  have alot to spend but needed something newer than the 10 year old computer i was using. So far this has been a wise buy. I surf the web alot and love to do things like write poetry and make cards. It comes with works so you dont have to buy the product seperatly. Which is about 100 bucks on its own. The only drawback i have seen is that the speakers are on the monitor. I thought the sound was okay but my man said no way and went and bought some external speakers. but you can get those for about 20 bucks anyway. It was well worth the money and best buy offers some great insurance and help for a little extra. although i didnt bother with that as i didnt have the extra money to spend on that.

wow, i bought the same exact computer, the 5250nx too in last november at best buy too. i bought just the box for only 349! i've always been a fan of dell but mine broke down on me, so i needed a new desktop real quick and cheap. i wasnt really sure of getting a compaq at first but the price value convinced me. and i have to say, its the best computer deal ive ever made so far, it still works like a charm. if its stays that way, looks like i can change my computer each year now :)

I agree. We didnt even bother with the extra warranty for a fix it type warranty. we figure if it breaks buy a new one. it will be outdated by that time anyway! lol

Glad to hear this. As a heavy user, my latest theory is buy cheap, buy often. It's easier to replace every 2 years with new technology, than to repair an out-of-date computer.
