Compaq Presario Notebook Computer —

Husband bought this Sunday at Best Buy for $399. Has Vista Home Base on it, and when I registered it, I learn HP, the owner of Compaq, is sending me $100 for getting Vista. The line of folks who barged into the store with us at 10AM, we got it FIRST!

I got the same computer, and so far am happy with it, other than the load of unnecessary software installed. How are you getting $100 back?

Changing it to the new Windows XP as I have Pro on my desktop. Vista does -0- for me.

$399 is a steal on a laptop, even if it is afflicted with a terrible case of Vista...
