I bought my laptop, a HP Compac Presario, C762NR Notebook PC two years ago. I had previously had a desktop computer, so I was wary about getting used to a laptop.  I just did not think I would ever be able to get used to using a touch pad, the smaller screen, and especially the fact that it came equipped with Windows Vista.  Up to this point, I had not heard anything positive about Windows Vista, and I really did not want to start all over learning a new system.  However the salesman assured me that I would get used to using a laptop in no time, so I bought it. The HP Compac Presario C762NR Notebook PC is extremely easy to use and within a week of buying it I was convinced that I would never buy a desktop computer again.  The touch pad is easy to get used to.  Using Windows Vista was a snap, I have had no problems using it and really enjoy all the things I can do with it.  The keyboard is extremely comfortable to use and the screen resolution is sharp and clear.  The sound quality is remarkable  and it came with plenty of memory. It's very light weight, and I can take it anywhere comfortably which is important for me. It came with a 2 hour battery, however, I can purchase a longer life battery if I need to. The HP Compac Presario C762NR Notebook PC is reasonably priced and that along with it's portability and style would cause me to recommend it to anyone wanting to purchase their first Laptop.
