Great machine for a wonderful price

I've been and remains a loyal HP customer, having various kinds of their products from digital cameras, PDAs, printers, and computers. There was an opportunity for me to upgrade to a newere laptop by trading in my old laptop. After carefully reading all the reviews I could find, I bought the 6455b and am happy with the laptop. It's not as heavy as my previous laptop but the battery lasts quite a bit longer than the one on my previous laptop. Even though it is proudly labeled as "Made in China" on the bottom, the build looks solid and professional enough. The HP/Compaq quality still shows well. Inexpensive and very functional

I bought this computer at Best Buys and for the price it simply cannot be beat.  I've been extremely happy with my selection from day one.  My Compaq is like my little baby.  I use it every day.  I love the ease of use, the tools, the multi-functions, and the bright screen.  The battery life is excellent.  I can use my laptop for a couple hours straight on graphic intense material and multi-tasking.  It is lightweight and easy to carry around with me where I need to go.  The wifi connection is awesome.  I have never had it fail on me.  This laptop was so wonderful that I bought one for my daughter too.  I honestly cannot say enough about it.  If I had to buy another one, this is the one I would get or whatever newer version that is out.  Compaqs are amazing.  The only thing I do with this one had was a web cam, but I can function just fine without one.  I give this laptop the highest possible rating.

The compaq's sound bite was better than expected.

Overall my experience with this computer has been great.  There was a small problem the first month of purchase with it not wanting to come on, but the tech support was great and talked me through my problem and I haven't had any problems since.
