My husband and sons have been using Verizon for 2 years with the family plan.  Since my teenagers text constantly we found Verizon has a great plan to purchase large quantities of minutes for texting.  I have personally been using Verizon for 4 yrs. I am not much of a texter but I do use a lot of minutes and long distant calls.  I have found that Verizon has many plans to choose from and I chose to purchase less text minutes and more calling minutes.  The coverage I get from Verizon is about average for any carrier.  I believe what ever carrier you… read full review »

I really wanted this one to work but for me it keep slowing my computer down. If I shut it off it would stop everything and turn itself back on. The phone service is fine except I did not like having a phone number 100 miles away but will free long distance on most cell and voip plans I guess that is really only a minor inconvinence. I had to unplug it I will stay with Vonage for… read full review »

Comcast High Speed ISP

Comcast High Speed ISP
a techie, budget conscious

The internet is fast! 6.0Mbps for a standard and 8.0Mbps for a premium, I'm not even going to talk about power boost! I never had my internet go out, never have to touch the modem and it's always fast, peak times, mornings, middle of the night. I'm downloading so fast that each time I do it I'm surprised at how fast it is! — — I don't know what people are talking about restarting the modem, I never have to do that. Comcast also doesn't use the age old PPPoE interface like DSL does, making it way easier to network with a router. (If you ever hooked up DSL with a router you know… read full review »

I love metroPCS. Though the service is a little low is some areas, it is heard that metro is adding more servece towers up. I can pay my bills add or take away features if need be, and they text you the amount of money you owe a while before it is due. This is so you know what you owe, and gives you time to come up with the money. Their phones are like normal phones, actually from real companies like samsung and such. I give credit to the founder of this company it is great! —… read full review »

I have Sprint as my cell phone provider.  I had all text messages blocked from my phone since I was being charged 40 cents for people to send me ads from their businesses.  My bill seemed high, so I called and they said I was charged for texts that were sent to me that they had blocked even though I had text messages blocked from my phone, hence, never receiving them, Sprint still charged me for them!  They suck.  Not to mention all the "taxes" that are added to your final bill that no other provider… read full review »

The only reason we selected DirecTV and the only reason we've stuck with it as long as we have was the NFL ticket.  The NFL ticket was our only real option for watching our home team when we are not in the local market.  But our experience has consisted of one technical headache after another followed by incredibly poor customer support. — — Our first hurdle happened at the initial install about three years ago.  We had two standalone TiVo's networked together, but the DirecTV sattelite receivers didn't respond very well to TiVo signals sent to change the… read full review »

This phone works for a few months and then...goes down the toilet on it's own. It's high pitched ringtones aren't that great, and it's not so fun because it's small. If you like flip phones and/or like having better ringtones including music ringtones...this is not the phone for… read full review »
