I always used Frontline on our dogs to kill fleas and it has always been a hassle to apply. My dogs hated having something rubbed into their back that they couldn't see, smell and had no idea what it was. We have a yorkie palm and a dachshund. It is not as bad using frontline on our dachshund as it is on our yorkie palm because the dachshund has short hair. But our yorkie palm has long hair and hates for you to put anything on him. You have to try to part his hair just to get to his scalp, then hold him still long enough to get it all on there. So everytime we applied Frontline he would roll around and do everything possible to get it off. It was always a fight. Now we use Comfortis, and it is great! We wrap the tablet in a piece of cheese and have no problems! I never thought that flea medicane could be this easy. I highly recommend Confortis to anyone with long hair pets for sure. Confortis is much easier to use than any type of topical flea medicane.
