i bought Feliway on Amazon.com after I researched how to get cat urine out of carpet. I just installed new wall to wall carpet on my entire upstairs and of course my 10 year old persian decided to pee on it in two spots. After thoroughly cleaning the carpet and underneath as well I needed to find a repellant so she would not do it again and again. She also developed a very bad 'habit' of pooping in the same hallway. I had her checked out at the vet and nothing physically was wrong with her-she was just being a nasty moody kitty. Anyway, I bought the Feliway plug in diffuser and figured it couldn't hurt to try. Well I must say that IMMEDIATELY my kitty's attitude changed! No more pooping, no more peeing in the hall, and her personality has changed for the better-she even crawls up on my lap to hang out now-last week I even rubbed her belly-something which she NEVER did before. I immediately ordered three refills and a spray (as a reinforcement) from Amazon. As soon as the diffuser gets really low, almost empty, my kitty lets me know its time to change it to a fresh one. As soon as I put in the replacement, it is like she is on kitty valium! There is no smell or mess to deal with, and the unit just plugs into an outlet. You can get the refills on Ebay or Amazon pretty cheap relative to Petsmart or Petco. I will never be without this product again, and it has saved lots of aggravation and $$$.
