Good Products with Mixed Results on Customer Service

Comcast - Cable Company — 

Overall, we have had a favorable experience with Comcast, particularly on the most recent occassion when I went in to pay my bill.  I talked to the representative about the upcoming promotional roll-off (our 12 months was up) and he gave us a better offer than one we had for the past 12 months...from $75/month for DSL and cable to $50/month for the two (now our DSL speed went from 8 to 6, but we haven't noticed a difference)

On the other hand, we had issues with our modem and the first customer service representative I talked to told me it was an issue with our computer and I needed to get a new one, because their modem checked out fine.  I knew that was not the case, so I called back the next day and talked to a different representative that said the modem could be bad and I needed to take it in for replacement.  Which was the problem.

Our cable service has been outstanding, and the only issue with our internet was solved, however, I was extremely frustrated by a customer service representative telling me I need to get a new computer because the issue was with our equipment not theirs.
