Comcast - Cable Company —
We were much happier with Time Warner cable before the market swaps gave us to Comcast.
We have digital cable upstairs (with box) and analog cable downstairs. For the most part, it mostly works. However, we do have a list of things we have problems with:
Comcast keeps moving channels out of analog and into digital-only. This is really annoying to lose stations for no reason.
They keep changing around digital channels (moving where they are, deleting channels, or (more rarely) adding channels).
If digital sound is available (channel or movies on demand), the sound is always 1-2 seconds slow (eg not synced with the picture).
Compression artifacts are not uncommon on their digital service and sometimes get bad enough to make a show unwatchable.
We've had techs out multiple times and they usually manage to at least partially fix the current issue (except the digital sound).
Unfortunately, our only other choices for TV are Qwest (the worst customer service I've ever dealt with), DirectTV (I refuse to support Rupert Murdoch), or Dish Network (heard mixed reviews and just not big on putting a dish on the house).
