We installed Comcast at our current residence almost three years ago, and On Demand has been buggy since day one- freezing up, incorrect menus, inability to access all the channels that we have purchased. Calls to customer service almost never achieve direct results. We have been told the difficulties with On Demand are variously caused by:
1) It's a new service- we're still working out the bugs.
2) We're laying new cable in your area.
3) I don't know.
Three years later, the "new service" is as buggy as it was initially, and customer service doesn't seem particularly concerned when notified. Yearly price hikes without improved service is no bargain. If there were any viable alternatives in our area, I have a feeling that Comcast would lose a lot of business.
