Combos - Zesty Salsa Tortilla Snacks Review

If you are familiar with Combos snacks, then you know that most of their products are pretzels and crackers filled with different cheeses.  Their newest product, Combos Zesty Salsa Tortilla Snacks, are downright tasty.  Per the package, these snacks are described as a "crunchy shell made with stone ground corn and a zesty salsa flavored filling."

I don't like food that is spicy and am considered the wimp in my family because I prefer mild versions of salsa and always order my food with no spice.  I wasn't sure what to expect when I tried my first Combos Zesty Salsa Tortilla Snack but it was MUCH better than I anticipated.  The salsa was definitely zesty without being too spicy or overwhelming.  In fact, it was downright addictive! 

The salsa filling was a little orange neon in color but the taste defied the look.  The filling was a combination of a sweet tomato with a little "zest."  It was perfect.  The outer crunchy shell tasted a bit like corn and was a complement to the salsa filling.  Combos definitely got this combination right.  Did I mention the wonderful zesty aroma when I opened up the bag?  It reminded me of my favorite Mexican restaurant - no lie! 

If you're looking for a new tasty snack with a bit of "zest," I highly recommend trying Combos Zesty Salsa Tortilla Snacks.
