Combi Flare is a decent stroller.

So, I bought the Combi Flare with my first child, and didn't really yet know what I liked in a stroller, or what features would be most important to me. Needless to say, I really lucked out with this purchase. We had one of those gigantic travel system strollers that the carseat would snap into, and I liked that stroller well enough, except that even when folded, it was huge and clunky, and did not fit in the trunk of my small car. The trunk itself was large enough, but the opening too narrow to shove the stroller into.  And since a stroller is really a must for a little one, a babies r us trip was in order. I originally bought the Combi because it looks nice and I knew it was small enough to go in my trunk. And, the seat was fully reclinable, which was a must since I was using it with a very small baby. Other than that, I just crossed my fingers and hoped I'd like it. My husband LOVES this stroller. It is his go-to, absolute favorite stroller. I have to say that I like it as well, but I wish it had a cupholder, and maybe a slightly bigger basket on bottom. I also wish the handles were adjustable. The handles are a little low for me, and I am only 5'5". This must be personal preference though, as my husband thinks the handles are just fine and he is over 6 feet tall. Looking at the pros below though, it appears that the handles are adjustable. Perhaps I am just dense and need to read the manual again.... The stroller handles and manuevers beautifully. It is comfy for the child, yet narrow enough that the wheels don't bang everything you pass in a department store. It has a five point harnass as a restraint system, which in addition to the fully reclinable seat, allows the  stroller to be used with a younger infant. The durability is phenomenal, as it has lasted through three children, and still looks (and functions) wonderfully.

The Combi Flare is Bright and Light

This was probably our most used stroller when we were out of the house. We got the one is orange. It is not tiny like the normal umbrella strollers, so it is slightly heavier but it has more storage space in the bottom, and in a back pocket. We also bought another little stroller pocket to hold more stuff, since this was the easiest stroller for us to take whenever we were going somewhere with the car. It folds up easily and smoothly, and is light. It was also a good price compared to the McLaren stroller. I would say it's definately worth the money! We used it from about 8 months to 3 years for our son. It is still in very good condition and will be donated to a new family soon for good use!

Just an OK stroller

When my son outgrew his bucket seat and the snap in stroller it was time for a brand new spiffy stroller. I spend a huge amount of time trying out strollers, reading reviews and asking other mommies what strollers they liked. Then I bought this Combi Flare Stoller. I was in love with the look of this cute orange mod stroller ~ it is my favorite color! I couldn't wait to try it out. It would fit great in the trunk of my tiny Corolla and still leave room for my groceries. A big plus. And it is cushy. Love the strap to make carrying easier. I am a short mama so I have no issues with stepping on the wheels although some taller mamas do complain about that. It does fold and unfold with ease. However the basket is so odd, nothing really fits easily or removes quickly. Even paper is difficult to remove. It is really hard to maneuver. Forget doing it one handed. Not gonna happen. The wheels are crummy and feel wobbly. Not worth the price at all. I really don't care for my cute cushy mod stroller at all but it is still usable almost three years later even after I got a mini-van and ran it over a time or two. So I guess with all the pluses and minuses, it comes out just average.

Combi strollers are great

4

We first got this stroller four years ago when my daughter was born, we used it as our primary stroller and it's been fantastic. Not only is it lightweight, easy to fold, and it also has a strap that you can use to carry over your shoulder. We have used this when flying and it worked out great. We checked it at the gate and before walking down the terminal we folded it up and my husband carried it over his shoulder. We now are using it for our second child and it still in great shape I'm amazed at how well it has held up over time. It's better than most umbrella type strollers since it reclines all the way and for small babies you can enclose there feet so blankets don't fall out. The downsides to this stroller are there is not adult cupholder also the basket under is hard to use and small. There is a bar that runs through it making it hard to use excpet for a few small items like coats. Even with the downsides I still highly recommond this stroller.

Combi Flare Stroller is great!

5

We purchased this stroller when our baby boy was brand new (1 year ago!), and started using it when he was about 4-5 weeks old. One of the main reason we chose the Combi was that it is able to recline far enough for a newborn, because we started our baby in a convertible car seat instead of an infant seat that would snap onto a travel system. My favorite features are the full-recline, the tri-fold design and the light weight (under 12 lb!). I have been know to carry my baby in the wrap, my diaper bag over my one shoulder, the folded combi over my other should AND pull my roller suitcase while getting onto the airplane! A lot of reviews complain about the small basket, but it's a small stroller, so I wasn't expecting a lot of space, plus most diaper bags have clips to clip onto the stroller now and I purchased a "Mommy Hook" at babies r us to hang things on. We live in South Texas, where it is sunny nearly all the time, so the sun-shade was not big enough and I did buy an extender shade off of amazon.com. We recently purchased a jogging stroller, so now the combi stays in my car for when we are out and about. I love that I can get it out of the car and unfolded with one hand while I'm holding my baby. Overall I have been very happy with this stroller!

Combi Flare is a fantastic light-weight and portable stroller

5

I got the Combi Flare right when they came out as they had just discontinued the Cosmo. It has a few additional features to the Combi, the most noticeable is that it is a bit higher for the handles to push, which makes it much easier for those who are a bit taller than the average woman, they also increased the maximum weight of the child who can sit in it, which is great. It is still increadibly light weight, easy to fold and folds up very small, smaller than any stroller I've seen. It rivals umbrella strollers for weight and compactness, only with more features, much better quality and support for the child. It fits very well in the car without taking up the entire truck, allowing us to keep it in the car just in case we needed it. This was also fantastic when we were travelling as it has a strap to throw over your stroller, making it easy to take places where you don't want to use it, through the airports, etc. Since it folds small, it even can go through the x-ray at the airport with no problems at all!

Not a bad stroller for the price

4

We have been using the Combi Flare for about 2 years.  It is definitely a step above the cheap umbrella strollers without the bulk and price of some of the larger, fullsize strollers. The fold requires two hands, but is fairly easy once you figure it out and get used to it. It folds up to about the size of 1 1/2 umbrella strollers, which is very convenient.  The recline is decent (doesn't go back all the way, but has a good enough recline for our daughter to take a nap in it). I love the cupholder accessibility for my toddler, but don't love the useless lap bar. The bar is removable, but then there are two "knobs" on the left and right side of the stroller that look awkward (and the cupholder won't stay on without the bar there).  The 3 point harness is secure, but the straps are made to go through a small strip of fabric that is not secure or really even necessary. The fabric actually ripped a few weeks into using the stroller. There is really not an under basket on this stroller. There is a very small mesh baglike area with elastic that a VERY small bag or a few small items could be put in, but its not even worth trying.  At times I feel like the stroller is pretty wobbly and can feel cheap.  It is likely to tip over if you hang a diaper bag or purse on the back of the stroller and don't remove it before taking the child out. There is one small pocket on the back of the stroller that is big enough for keys/cell phone/small wallet/bottle of water, etc.  All in all, I would recommend this stroller to friends. It is nice as a second stroller for going to the park or mall.  Its definitely not made for heavy use.

Love this stroller!

4

I bought a used Combi Flare stroller and absolutely love it. It is soooooo lightweight!!!! It is very easy to manuever as the front and back wheels rotate. Very easy to bring in a store with narrow aisles. I also recently brought this on a trip and had to use it in the airport and gate check and it was very easy to use and not at all bulky. It folds up 2 times making it very small and compact. I bought this for my baby but my 4 year old sometimes sneaks his way into the stroller and I'm never afraid of it breaking. Very durable and also easy for him to push when he wants to be a "big brother". The sun canopy is very nice as it can be folded up when not in use, partially folded out to cover the top and shelid baby from the sun or it can even be completely folded down to sheild from wind and rain. The one big downside I have with this storller is the basket underneath.  It is very tiny and I realy wish I had more storage space.

A good stroller for quick trips.

4

This stoller is great for many reasons.  It is lightweight, it collapses easily, it looks nice, and it fits into my small trunk easily.  My daughter seems to like it, but because it is so lightweight she can almost stand up and walk away with the stroller on her back!  I still recommend this stroller to anyone who wants to use it for quick shopping trips.  The basket doesn't hold that much, but you make that compromise if you want to have something that isn't so bulky like a travel system stroller.
