I believe that Columbia is for the die hard art student. If you are looking to meet great friends, you are sorely mistaken. There is a major lack of student cohesiveness and there is way too much politics going on behind the scenes. I graduated from columbia but I didnt like it there

I would argue that you shouldn't chose a school because you want to make friends. You choose a school for the opportunities, courses and degree programs. It is an art school and it doesn't try to hide that. It is a real-world experience. In the real world, you're not going to find "cohesiveness."
