The only thing decent in this school are the teachers, who are well qualified and practiced on their profession. Unfortunately, the people who run the school and the main administrators are greedy and arrogant and care only about themselves and the school. Columbia College dropped my grants because they discovered my stepmother received some money in disability and considered it was paying for my education, even though she passed away from a deadly disease A YEAR AND A HALF BEFORE I WAS ENROLLED in this school. Even though I explained to them she was dead, her medical bills surpassed what she received in disability, I did not live with her, much less only spoke to her maybe once or twice a year, that I had taken out the maximum amount in loans that I could for the year, that I was paying for school all on my own, and that by doing this to me I would have to drop out of school, move back home and give up my dream my passion after working really hard just to get there, they looked me right in the face and told me they didn't care, she still spent the money. I had to pay the school a bunch of money for the previous semester and move home. From attending this school I was too far in debt to attempt to go back to school somewhere else, so now I am living at home going to a local college, going for whatever career I can make enough money in to pay off my loans from that school ($31,000 for one year, not including government loans and grants.)
If your lucky enough to have rich parents who will pay for your schooling, then why not.. dorms are sometimes decent, but it would be cheaper to get your own place rather than share one of the iceboxes they offer for around 15g a year that you share with 2 to 4 other people. Most majors are also very competetive, and is a waste of money anyways.
The teachers, students, locations, and oppurtunities, however, almost make it worth it.. almost..
