I have been going to the College of Southern Nevada since 2002. I first received a degree in Hotel Mgmt, and graduated in 2005. After that I decided to go back to school because I did not enjoy the hotel business.  I have not regretted my decision. The staff are always willing to go the extra mile in order to nake sure you are comfortable with what you are learning. The curriculum is not to hard and not to easy but a practical middle between the two.  In the first semester you have to have lecture, lab, and clinical hours every week. In the second semester, you have Med Surg 1, and mental health.  You will learn a basic foundation that will help you master and build your nursing knowledge. Then in third semester you have Pediatrics and LAbor and Delivery. By far this was favorite semester.  I am a mom and I felt like I had an advantage over other student that did not have children. Final semester is Medical Surgical 2 and this was the hardest semester. You only have 10 weeks to complete everything and then you have Professional topics, which is like a management course. After that is all completed, you have a preceptorship where you go to a hospital and work 120 hours which is 10, 12 hours shifts. I love this school! Nurses Rule!
