I was in the Dollar Tree looking for holiday gift bags and other stuff that I could get dirt cheap. I decided to go down the health and beauty aisle just to look. I wasn't really needing anything nor was I searching for anything specifically. Then I saw it! A box of Colgate toothpaste. It was a whitening paste. It was a new product and it was at the Dollar Tree, whoa! I had to have it even though I wasn't in need of toothpaste. I picked up the Colgate MaxFresh with Mini Breath Strips. On the box you could see a strip of the gel and you could see what appeared to be little beads. That would be the Mini Breath Strips. The box said, "Enjoy a whole new dimension of freshness." Well, I was all for that!
I usually brush 2-3 times a day. So that night when it was time to go to bed I was ready to brush my teeth and remembered I had that new toothpaste. Now remember I didn't need any toothpaste so I was going to do something very unusual for me. Open up a second tube before finishing off the first. When you open it you see a bright royal blue color and it smells like a bottle of mouthwash. As I gently squeezed the tube I could see the mini breath strips coming out. Brushing your teeth is a wonderful experience. I kept breathing and blowing air just to get a whiff of this stuff. I got the cool mint flavor and it did send a chilling sensation down my spine. It's like having a toothpaste and mouthwash or breath mint all in one. I know that isn't a new concept because Colgate did it with Scope mouthwash and that almost killed me. These breath strips aren't as intense as the Scope was.
INDICATIONS:
The bottom line was this: Colgate MaxFresh with Mini Breath Strips does a wonderful job of freshening your breath but I can't really tell if it does much to whiten them. My best friend says that is probably because my teeth haven't begun to turn yellow and are still a sparkly white so I won't see the difference. I know I only paid a dollar for a 3 oz. tube but I would pay the full price for a regular sized tube at the store any day.
