You'll never be able to take your own bed with you when you go camping, but there are some pretty comfortable air mattresses around to use as a good substitute. I most often use a Coleman air mattress, such as this Coleman Twin Size Quickbed Air Bed. This is the second air mattress like this I have owned and have been happy with the quality and performance.

My son used this air mattress on a recent campout with the Boy Scouts.  The air mattress was wonderful.  The smaller size fit just perfectly in his tent.  It was easy for him to blow up with an air pump.  Plus, teh air mattress held up to a 11 year old Boy Scout and his Boy Scout friends.  I am relieved to report that by the end of the campout the air mattress not only survived, but it looked like it did when he first blew it up.  My son did not have any holes in the air mattress.  Plus, he said the air mattress was just as comfortable as his mattress from home.  Another thing to note,...
