My Coleman Queen size air mattress made camping a dream

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Years of camping and sleeping on the ground has gotten to me. I have turned into a wimp...I like comfort and I think the camping gods heard me when I told my husband I wanted to get one.

A week later our neighborhood had our annual rummage sale and the retired female cop down the hall was selling her camping stuff.  What did I see?  A brand new **Coleman queen sized air mattress **(thank you camping gods) $15 and it was mine.  I even bought the Coleman air pump too that was battery operated.

I thought just in case it didn't work I would blow it up the night before we left for camping.  IT WORKED!!!  No more hard, lumpy, cold ground for this little cam...

Never holds air very long

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

My hubby and i never bought a blow up mattress because everyone we know had somehow gotten holes in their blow up mattresses. But we were at Costco the other day and found this blow up mattress for 29.99 and thought hay why not try it and we can return it if it doesn't work out for us. So we pulled it out and we put brand new batteries in it and blew it up. The mattress never totally filled up, i don't know if it was a product malfunction but it never filled up to a hard surface. It doesn't have a very thick air pillow top on it like other blow up mattresses have either. The other thing we didn't like was that it used batteries which is nice if you take it camping, but batteries are expensive i'd rather have a plug in device. Throughout the night it lost alot of air and made it very uncomfortable. so unevitably we returned that blow up mattress the next day and will proabably not purchse another one.

The Coleman Queen size air mattress is good, but needs warnings.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Coleman Queen size air mattress is really good, but needs warnings.  If you fill it up while it is hot outside the air compresses in the night when it is cooler and the mattress is no longer firm.  However, if you fill it up while it is cool out, either late at night or first thing in the morning, the mattress will stay firm and will not leak.

Another thing you need to know about this mattress is that it gets cold while you sleep on it because the air in the mattress will get cold.  You need to put some type of protective barrier between you and the mattress.  Sleeping bags or emergency blankets work well for this, but a fitted sheet will not.  Even on the warme...

Delightfully makes you feel like your right at home!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Well as much as I do love the camping and the outdoors, I actually needed to purchase the Queen size Coleman Raised Pillowtop airbed with built-in pump when I moved into my new apartment and was waiting for the end of the month for my furniture to arrive. When I went to the K-mart store around the corner from my house, I wasn't sure what to purchase at first. I took a look at everything that was available on shelves but I have had bad luck with air-mattress' in the past and didn't want to take my chances with buying another cheap bed. I knew I needed something Full to Queen size, comfy, durable and a pump is always essential. I saw the Coleman and it was the perfect size, the pump was easily...

Good, but with a few built-in problems.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Coleman air mattress (queen size) is great in many ways--comfortable, durable, and easy to inflate/deflate.  However, it has one flaw that I didn't realize WAS a flaw when I bought it!

While waiting for our household items to arrive during our last move, my spouse and I spent several nights on this air bed.  We found it so comfortable that when our normal mattress arrived, we plunked the airbed on top of it, put a mattress topper over that, and used the whole thing as our regular bed.  We were very happy with it, and slept soundly and well, until I lifted up that mattress topper and found mildew all over the suede side.

The suede-like finish on one side may seem great, but it mildews very easily.  Once it has mildewed, it's almost impossible to clean!  If you plan to use this mattress on a regular basis, I strongly suggest that you do NOT sleep on the sueded side.  Even if the vinyl side mildews, vinyl is easily cleaned.

what a great bed

Overall

When my waterbed heater stopped working I decided to switch to an air mattress.  It wasn't quite as snuggly warm on cold nights but it did save on my electric bill.  I originally started with an Intex mattress.  I was comfortable but only lasted a few months.  It was also very expensive.  When I bought my next air mattress I did some research.  I wanted to find the longest lasting, best reviewed, and most inexpensive air mattress I could.  Every review that I read about the Coleman air mattress was wonderful so I bought one.  It was very easy to set up and fill and extremely comfortable.  I covered it with a thick blanket in the winter and stayed ...

Lasts forever

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We have had this air mattress for four years and have used it ever summer on camping trips and when we have company over. Ours does not have the air pump built in and we use a hand pump. I don't know if that makes it last longer but I have been amazed as this has outlasted everyone's air mattress that I have known of among all our friends!

We have had to patch it one time but the patch has held and the mattress has worked wonderfully in the year since! Even so, it lasted 3 years with no patching. Quite a feat!

My full size bedding fits on this queen just fine, which is nice since we sleep on a full at home and I use the same sheets!

The fold up instructions are very simple to follow and easy because they are printed right there as you try to fold it up!

The valve where the air pump goes is very simple as well. It pushes in to seal so you can pull the pump out without needed to worry about loosing any air!

Sleep like a King on Coleman's Queen-Sized Air Mattress

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

It's surprising how comfortable air mattress can be.  If inflated properly and placed on a level surface you can get quite comfortable, even when sleeping in a tent just inches from the ground. I've had a Coleman Queen Sized Air Mattress for more than 5 years, and it still works just fine.

The Coleman Queen Sized Air Mattress measures about 6'' in height when fully inflated, in 54'' across and 74'' long. The top side is flocked with a fuzzy coating which helps prevent you from sliding off during the night. The rest of the air mattress is a (slippery) vinyl material that is pretty thick and durable.

I own a Coleman Queen Sized Air Mattress which does not have an attached ai...

Coleman air mattress. Great quality, 1 fixable leak in 4 yrs

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My husband and I got this as a wedding gift four years ago. In that time we have used it and watched our friends use other brands. Ours has held up better than anyone else's that I have seen before. It is small enough to pack on a camping trip, but big enough to use as a spare bed for a couple. It is close to the ground, which makes it nice for camping and it holds it's air well. We had one leak and my husband was able to fix it. The longest I've seen a mattress last has been about 1 1/2 years and for this to last four blows me away! It makes camping trips much more pleasant and is a fun toy to pull out for the kids to play on. They think it is a giant balloon! We do have to put sheets on it like a normal bed or you will sweat and stick to it. The fold up instructions are on the mattress and always easy to follow. The airing up part is easy and has an air lock so air doesn't come out when you pull the pump out.

the coleman air mattress is great for camping

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

the coleman air mattress is very easy to assemble and takes no time to air up.once it is aired up you lay it on the floor and it is done your ready to go to sleep and the air stays in it foor a day or two.Or for a little bit more money then what you spent on the air mattress you can get a double air mattress and they are even better and your up off the ground and higher and it is very comfortable. It's very easy to assemble and put away and it doesn't take long to be put up it takes longer to put up the tent then the mattress and it's better then sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag its comfortable and your not on the ground.

Loses air badly!

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

We bought this airbed for company. Night # 1 it went completely flat.  So we took it back, exchanged it for another bed of the same product.  Night # 2 with a new bed, went flat!   we exchanged this bed 3 times, before giving up on it and just getting a refund. I trusted the coleman name, and now I will never buy a coleman product again. I wouldnt buy this bed again if someone paid me too.

Great for Guest

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

When I first moved to my first apartment, I needed a temporary mattress. My mattress needed a two-week hold because it was on back order. My couch was made of leather and swede, good for sitting, bad for sleeping. I went to my favorite department store for an air mattress and that where I got my Coleman queen size inflatable mattress. I had heard good things about the Coleman family of merchandise and did not want to waste my money. The queen was on sale for thirty-nine dollars, a steal, considering the twin was twenty-four bucks. It came with an electric pump that inflated the mattress in less then five minutes. The top was covered in a felt or soft fuzzy material. That ...

Coleman Queen Size Air Mattress

Coleman Queen Size Air Mattress

**Good price from wal mart at $ 28.74 even if it only lasts one season you,ve spent your money wisely for camping out in the rough for the summer , bring the sleeping bags just to be safe they do puncture easily from sharp small branches , small tiny rocks. ETC . **

You do need a battery operated air pump to blow it up to use out doors, they sell electric ones to use for in side use.

**Pros: easy to blow up , very comfy to sleep on , quick air release ,  durable , very good , no more hard ground ,  reasonably priced , handy for guest coming , easy to pack or move, **

cons: If you have small kids need to watch them with sharp objects such has pencils , pens , scissers. And if you have boys that build models with knifes .

may not fit in a small tent because of the size you are buying, they do meldew easly from wetness but I think they sell meldew protection in spray cans that you can use on it .

For the price I personally think it worth the money.

This is perfect for camping!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is a great product because it has a dual plug so while you have the pump still on you can close the main pump then turn of the air then close the second plug this way no air escapes and it is fully inflated! I had trouble with a previous one that i had to pull the air pump out and quickly insert the plug; a lot of air escaped from that.

This product was very inexpensive too for being a name brand product, only about 25 dollars or less for a full size! I would recommend this product to anyone who loves have sleepovers for their kids or any campers out there, or anyone who needs an air mattress for whatever reason.

Im all about the bargains, I found mine at target! Great Low price!

Great for Boy Scouts

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have really come to appreciate our Coleman queen sized air mattress.  It was amazing how comfortable my husband and I were on our weekend campout with the Boy Scouts.  I think we would have had a lot of trouble blowing this huge air mattress up if we hadn't remembered to bring an air pump.  Believe it or not, the air mattress was a breeze to inflate.  We placed our sleeping bags on top of the inflated air mattress.  We also used pillows that we brought from home.  We were surprised to find that our air mattress had stayed inflated the entire night.  We both slept soundly, athough, my husband and I did feel each other move during the night.  We j...
