The majority of reviewers raved about the Coleman 5 in 1 Inflatable Air Mattress loving the way you can “flip it up to a couch”. The Colman 5 in 1 Inflatable Mattress is very versatile and reviewers reported that it was comfortable and a “functional sofa”, as well as a mattress for sleeping. They have used it for company spending the night, in dorm rooms and on camping trips. The only drawback reported on this Coleman mattress was that it is rather hot, since it is made of plastic and needs to be pumped back up every so often to replenish air that has leaked out from normal usage.

When I saw this, I got really excited about it's potential if it worked.

It does.

 I have had many inflatable mattresses and although they have been used over and over one thing can be said about them all. Make sure you don't have to use them constantly. I've used this both for camping and for company. It's more durable than some air mattresses I've used. I especially like being able to flip it up to a "couch" during the day, saves space and adds comfort. It can be frustrating to locate all the inlet orifices for filling, but, "Hey, you're camping!" and smoothing it for folding to store is a bit tricky.  I use a battery powered air pump for filling and you're ready to go in no time. I've slept on this mattress both as a King size and as a twin, I prefer the extra comfort and height the twin provides, but, not much room for the "honey" then. Great... review »

The mattress works well in the first several weeks, and I only need to inflate one time per week. It is comfortable, but as most air mattress, you can not move severely on it or it will leak. As the time goes, you need to inflate it multiple times per week because it begins to leak air. However, it leaks slowly so that it is not a big deal. One drawback is that you need to get a pump yourself, which cost another 20 or more dollors. Also the pump itself is very inconvenient to take when travel.

Very comfortable and great support for your back. I've always been a very active person so in my later years I've got some joint pain along with pains in my lower and middle back. My old mattress used to be terrible on it. This mattress make me seem like I'm on a cloud floating. I'm ten years younger again!

We have been camping in tents for years, and I have always been frustrated with bedding options while you are using a tent, we either:

  • sacrificed tent maneuverability for comfortable sleep (air mattresses)
  • sacrificed comfortable sleep (self-inflating mats) for tent maneuverability
I remember telling my husband years ago that they needed to make air mattresses that could be folded out and out of the way during the day -- well they seemed to have done even better than that.

I bought this air mattress for when my boyfriend and I go camping in the fall. We used to use a different Coleman queen sized air mattress but decided we need a little bit more versatility with it. So we bought this 5 in 1 unit. We has issues with the extra space in the tent when the old air bed was inflated. But with this new mattress we can use it as a couch with arm rests, a queen sized bed or a double high twin bed! It inflates quickly but I had some difficulty deflating it because of the pivot points. After a little pushing to redirect the air, it was easy to fold up and put away. It didn't...

Horrible peice of plastic.  No pump, o r at least a decent one.  It leaks, sheets won't stay on even with fasteners.  Its very hot.  For the price it is garbage, but hey I bought this miserable thing and put it in the trash.  I promise not to buy anything by Coleman again.  This company use to be good.  Return policies have changed as well as committment.  Customer service is non existant.

Can we say first couch/bed ever for your favorite bachelor?  No more sitting on the floor, sleeping on a cot, for your college kid stuck in multiple loans that can barely afford books let alone decent furniture.  Though maybe you should get them a desk instead, as they will ultimately spend more time sleeping and sitting around on this thing and less time studying.

This couch is Awsome! It is easy to air up and very portable. I use it in my dorm when there is company or take it along to the park or outdoor sporting events. It inflates and deflates fast ( with a pump) and is easy to store. A definite must for college people with limited space. It would also work very well in a efficincy apt. or a rec room or basement.

I have one of these and i must say, YOU NEED ONE TOO!!the coleman 5in1 ..cheap inflates and deflates..perfect for camping..need i say more. We used these this 4 of july when a couple of my friends couldnt make it home..in fact my buddy tryed taking it in the moring!!like i said, cheap use it for friends family or if your in school and need a bed or couch.

I picked this up to bring camping. We all liked it so much we now have two. Accompanied with the coleman pump, it inflates in minutes. No air escapes. We have used them to sleep on to. Sometimes its nice to fall asleep on it. The price is right too. My neighbors have one too. They bring it to games.

This is a great thing for camping cause if your like me and love to go camping than you would like to take it out by the lake and sit and fish..Or even hang out outside by the small fire and talk and enjoy company.And its Spaceses and at night you can fold it into a bed for your guest.

I needed an air mattress that I could use when going to visit relatives and that my four nephews could use when they come to stay with me. This works perfect!! I can use as a king if all the nephews come or as a twin if its just one!! Easily portable and very comfortable!!
