I am really not into the concept of chopped ice cream

One trip to Cold Stone was enough to cure my curiousity. I didn't find the quality to be any different than any other chain ice cream purveyor,( with the possible exception of Oberweiss, which has the highest milk fat content of ice cream than any other ice cream made in the United States-richness that you can taste, see and feel) I didn't really feel that I had the range of choice as I did at Baskin 31. And I somehow just didn't like the counter person treating my ice cream like a Japanese sushi chef with mahi mahi filets....All that scooping, slopping, turning, chopping....have no clue how that was supposed to make my mouth water. My mom used to yell at me for playing with my food, and here the server was doing so before I even got it. It is by no means the same thing as watching a skilled pizza maker twirl dough-so don't even go there, not do I consider it as a skill such as you would see by an old fashioned short order cook in a family diner. All this show and display did not lead to a better tasting ice cream, just a much larger bill for our family treat. I felt it was outrageously high priced compared to the servings provided, and absolutely everything in there is a separate charge. And if it is, as they promote, a custom ice cream alternative, then please find people who can remember more than their first and last name. It is frustrating to give an order, and have to wait from somebody to complete chopping and slopping before you can give them the next....The first person in your party is long done with their treat by the time the last family member is actually served. This doesn't work at all with kids. They want the ice cream now.....and I just couldn't get past the price-a family member was treating, but I felt like I was taking advantage of them...There are definitely better places to get good ice cream, speedy service, and a more commpetitive price. I really don't know how these stores stay in business. It isn't a place that kids can take their allowance to and get a treat unless they are willing the blow the whole month's worth.
