this glass french press pot is used every morning to make coffee. i use a hot water heater instead of boiling water in a kettle. it always makes the best coffee, and it tastes quite different from coffee dripped from paper filters. there is a little oil on the top of the coffee because of the oil content not getting strained out by the paper. i ue a coarse grind because it seems to work better. if the grind is too fine, you will run the risk of having to push the plunger extra hard to get it to go down. the grinds can create a vaccuum. the caraffe has broken 3 times since i bought it, and the replacements...
