I never had real Coke until I was 27.
A lifelong dieter, I could never afford to drink sugary drinks. At 5'4" every pound counts.
But in the mid-eighties, I moved in with a Coke junkie who had several real Cokes a day, and I finally tried the red-can elixir for myself. UH OH It wasn't as as amazing as great sex + great chocolate........but it was close! I was instantly addicted, and began pounding down several REAL cokes a day.
My cousin, songwriter Mae Boren Axton, ("Heartbreak Hotel") ruled her very full Nashville world from a four-poster bed onthe second floor of a Graceland-type...
review »For years Diet Coke has been my soda of choice. I once took the Pepsi challenge and picked Diet Coke. I could tell the difference. While flying to Florida I asked for a Diet Coke. Delta must have gotten a lot of Coca Cola Zero because the flight attendant asked everyone who ordered Coke if they would like to try Coke Zero. Of course I said yes.
A Closer View
The flight attendant definitely had a bias toward Coke Zero. She said that it had a bang and that she thought we all would like it. I literally took a sip of Diet Coke (with caffeine) and then Coke Zero. I did this until I was through...
review »Ok, I know I'm going to sound shallow and mean here, but back in 1994 my then girlfriend insisted I go see a doctor about my hands/wrists. I was waking up during the night in severe pain, but was also experiencing a lack of sensation in portions of my hands. Turns out I have carpal tunnel syndrom, or repetitive stress injury. I also found out I weighed 235 pounds! That was as much as the wife I was fairly recently seperated from. Being 5'7", 235 pounds was just much too much to weigh. Now, I am a soda drinker. On a normal day, if I am not watching how much I spend or drink, I can go...
review »When reaching for a cold, refreshing Coke without the calories, one can choose either Diet Coke or Coke Zero. Here is a breakdown of each:
Coke Zero tastes more like Coca-Cola Classic. However, to the frequent Coke Classic drinker, Coke Zero will be different. I myself have never been a Coke Classic fan; too sugary and syrup-ey tasting for me. Coke Zero takes that Coke flavor, but to me is less syrup-ey, and more crisp. Be warned, however, that it is a little bit bitter tasting. This taste comes from the artificial sweetener. However, after having Coke Zero a few times, I came to like the slightly...
review »I'm not sure why, but I think Coke Zero tastes absolutely horrible. I mean HORRRRRIBLE!
I wil gladly drink a Diet Coke any day of the week - though I've actually drastically cut back on all of my soft drink intake recently - but but I think Coke Zero tastes absolutely horrible.
I'm not sure what the 'deal' is, but the Coke Zero just has a nasty taste to me. Of the people I've talked to, I'm in the minority with this opinion, but I just can't help what my taste buds tell me!!!!!
In this review, I give Coke Zero just one star!
