Though this tablet has been discontinued, it's still available for purchase on the net and I've seen it in Big Lots stores. Don't go into buying this expecting to get the bells and whistles of an ipad. The old adage, "You get what you pay for," applies to tablets about 99 percent of the time. That being said, you could do better than the Coby Kyros but you could do much worse. This tablet isn't bad for someone who just wants to use the tablet for light use such as reading or watching an occasional video on the bus or as they are waiting in the car, waiting room, airport, etc. If you want to play heavier games, I suggest going with a more expensive option. I've had no issues with this tablet for light use. Battery Life Has a 6 hour battery life with light use. Processing Speed The processing speed wasn't good for gaming but it was find for light reading, which is what I think this should be used for. Weight At about a pound give or take, this is excellent for carrying around in your bag and cheap enough that if you scratch it a bit, you won't feel terrible. App Availability No problem with finding apps for this, though the efficiency of using them depends on what apps and the processing capability. Design I loved the design of this tablet. It was thin, sleek, and easy to carry in my purse. Durability I haven't put it through enough to test it's durability. So far it's been rattled in my purse along with makeup and hairbrushes and there's been no damage.

Biggest piece of electronic junk I have ever received. The cord for the charger won't work half the time and it get lost loading everything! Battery Life The Charger cord is complete CRAP! I called the company and they told me that I would have to pay to send the entire unit back (with insurance) to get a replacement cord and that they knew of the issue. Processing Speed It never wants to load any pages and crashes when trying to download any apps.

This is Not an ipad let me just be clear, Many folks think that when purchasing a tablet that you would get the same responses,apps, and overall performance of an apple product. so now that I've gotten that out the way the Coby Kyros Android Touchscreen Tablet PC operates on the latest android icecream version the great part is this android tablet has Youtube!! as a youtube fan i was excited that i would have access as well as the standard ways to view your various email accounts, I am also able to use this as an e-reader via downloading the kindle app. The screnn doesnt have the gretest response time but for the price of it i cannot complain. If you are a facebook game player you might be disappointed as you will not have flash player on this android device. the weight is very light and came with a carrying case,what more can you ask for?

If you are looking for a low end unit, this might be okay. It was incredibly slow for me. This is the second Kyros I have used and both have seemed to be very much on the lower end of the tablet spectrum. As far as what you can do, it pretty much does everything my android phone does minus making phone calls. All the same apps and games. The kids to like to play the games. Seems durable enough, no real problems on that end. Battery life is not bad but not great. Battery Life It doesn't last as long as my phone but it is okay. Processing Speed My experience has been they are really slow. Weight Pretty light, seems average for tablets. App Availability Like any other android device there are tons of apps available. Design It pretty much is just like my android phone just bigger so design wise I was satisfied. Durability Not broken yet.

I recently received a Coby Android Tablet. I am not up on all the new electronic gadgets, so a lot of my experience with my new tablet is trial and error. It didn't come with detailed instructions. I guess I need to get one of my kids to explain it to me!. It is lightweight and starts up fast. The screen seems very "touchy" and I often lose where I am at because I touch it too long, too fast, too slow or who knows what? My husband can't navigate it at all because he has fat little fingers. Right now, I only use it to check e-mails, Facebook and search the web. I know there are other things it can do, but so far, this is fine for me.

I find myself reaching for this tablet more and more. I think my one complaint is that the screen is hyper sensitive and reacts too quickly, causing me to have to repeat steps. Otherwise I like it. Battery Life No better or worse than the others Processing Speed I have no complaints except for the too sensitive screen Weight When using as a reading device, it tends to get heavy, otherwise it's negligible. App Availability There is an issue with the certificates at certain sites, but so far I have been able to get around it. Design It's typical Durability I haven't dropped it and am very careful with it, so really can't comment on it.

i simply love my little 7 inch coby kyros mid7015 tablet, i have aother 10 inch android tablet but i want this little one to carry for travel on plane and etc. it is a great tablet and the screen moves very fast and there are so many things you can do on this little tablet...netflix ,youtube all the thinkg you can do on your i phone etc..it fits easily into my carry on bag and i can entertain myself for long flights..got a little leather cover to protect now i am all set...just need somewhere to go!!!!

I got this product about a month ago looking for a cheaper alternative to the iPad. I needed something I could open word and PDF files on the go without having to reformat for my Kindle. It also needed to be able to have a Kindle app as well as other ereader capabilities. So far I don't have a single complaint about the use of this product. The screen is smaller than an iPad but it allows for changes in backlighting to suit my needs throughout the day and it's touch screen is sensitive enough that I don't need a stylus but not so sensitive it's always opening and closing my programs. The battery life could be better. I don't get as much runtime on it as I'd like but thankfully it charges pretty fast. Battery Life As mentioned the battery is poor. I can read a full book on the Kindle App but usually need to plug it in afterward. Support & Service I've not needed support on this product as of yet. Speed/Performance The Wi-fi is slow to connect and sometimes the pages take a while to load but it's still faster than my 3G cell phone. Design This tablet is small but has a pretty decent weight to it. I'm glad I don't feel like I'm going to break the thing when holding it. The volume button on the side can get in the way but overall I'm pleased. Durability I've already dropped it off my couch twice and it's still running just fine.

I am always looking for deals.... I don't mind the touchscreen either it is very cool for this day and age!!!!!! Don't forget about the way it fits in your pockets. I also like the pricing of it, less expensive than I thought it would be.. I don't know what I would do without mine! My husband does not like them because they are bad with the whole touchscreen thing, he does not like any phone or anything that is touchscreen. He also does not like it because of the screen always getting scratched you know?! You always have to purchase covers which are not that expensive but the always peel off right when you need them I hate that too, I would recommend it to others, he would not so take this how you want it. Everyone thinks diff.

Go 4 it! I love the Colby Kryros Touchscreet Android Tablet. The price can't be beat! I love being in access of the internet anytime of the day. It easily fits in my purse. Wonderful connectiion and super high speed without paying a fortune like some of the brand name competitors. You can upload photos; download music; it's an ereader also...what more could this techno society want?
