Coby - DVD-227 Progressive Scan DVD/CD/MP3/CD-R/CD-RW Player Review

I have a Coby DVD Player....well not anymore because I threw it in the trash along with the other two Cobys Ive had in the past. Let me tell you about our experience with Coby. Last year we recieved a Christmas present...It was this Coby DVD Player 227 Progressive Scan, it can play mp3's, dvds, cd rewriteables. If it would work! The first time we hooked it up it wouldnt work, it made a loud noise like it was trying to work and eventually it did. After about a month it died. COBY IS A CHEAP PRICE FOR A REASON!!!! It's a cheap made cheap piece of JUNK! My kids had a Coby dvd player a few years ago it wouldnt read brand new dvds and just stopped working after a few months.....TRASH... For Christmas 2 or 3 years ago my mother in law bought my daughters a portable Coby dvd player with a 4 inch screen they were sooo excited, they got to use that for about 5 months I was surprised it lasted that long. They didn't break it, it just stopped working! That thing would play a whole movie and need to be recharged again, if you were watching a movie over 2 hours you had to plug it in to keep it on because those things do not hold a charge very long. Years ago I had a black Coby, was a huge paperweight, I dont remember how that one broke but It went in the trash too. I unfortunetly have a Coby Surround Sound System that I got for Christmas last year also, it has a big Sub Woofer and two little speakers and it still actually works BUT when you move the Sub Woofer the wires in the back move too and the sound cuts out. One of the little speakers statics like it's blown and I don't turn them on unless I'm watching a movie and I never play them loud so when this piece of Junk breaks Its gonna be the last time I see Coby in this house. I hope you have had better luck than I have with Coby but I would NEVER recommend this Brand to anyone, Sure its CHEAP but thats for good reason, your paying for about 1-2 months of the product actually working if that. 

In my opinion COBY Belongs in the TRASH, there should be a law on selling people garbage.
