a) YES!

b) Nuh-uh.  It's gross.

c) It depends.  If it's an Abercrombie model, yes.  If it's that weirdo from down the street, no.

I'd have to say I'm c.  It only looks good on some people, but otherwise I really don't want to see that!

What about you?

Call me a b). Underwear is supposed to be under, as in hidden by other clothing. Having it peek out screams, "Look at me... HEY! LOOK AT ME!!" And I'm not interested in looking at some guy's underwear.

So... tuck 'em in or take 'em off.

I would have to say C... b/c the only time you'd see it is on an ad!  I think that is the ugliest look ever... and these punks are always puling their pants up b/c they keep falling.  I don't think it's GROSS which is why I can't pick B.  I just think it's DUMB.  God help me if I have a boy that tries to do that!  He won't get away with it as long as I can see him :)

Commando is way better than peek-a-boo boxers.

I'll second your entire reply.  It's just dumb to me.  And it HAS to be uncomfortable. I've recently lost some weight so all my summer stuff from last year is falling off my butt and it is very uncomfortable and annoying.  I have no idea how they walk around like that.

No one wants to look at underwear!  If it's truly an Abercrombie model I would be looking at the abs.

Yeah, you're totally right!  I wouldn't look at an Abercrombie model and say, "Wow, he has really nice boxer shorts on!"

I think it is absolutely low-class and trashy to have your underwear hanging out... male OR female.

I work in a high school and see kids with their underwear hanging out all day long.  It makes me sick.

Good point bringing up the females NJ.  Perhaps we should ask Bob if he still sticks with his answer if it were a female!!

I think females that do that are usualy already dressed way slutty

Underwear is "under" wear--male or female.  Otherwise, very poor taste and trashy.

Exposing underwear is dumb, male or female. Even exposed bra straps look like the wearer can't be bothered with her appearance. And anyone older than 16 shouldn't be wearing cropped tops that show a peek of belly. If I did it, you'd all run screaming.

Underwear should be worn under, which seems like an easy-to-grasp concept to me.

You should watch "What Not to Wear" bob, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the things people think they can wear!  Old ladies with crop tops, pants from the 80s, or sweatpants to work!

I agree, it should all be "under".  I hate the look of a bra-strap with a spaghatti strap top.  If you are gonna wear a spaghetti strap top, you should wear a strapless bra underneath!  Geez!  I know you needed that advice Bob :)

Mention of spaghetti straps reminds me of a song that I sing to the tune of "(Walking in a) Winter Wonderland." It's called "(Walkin' 'Round in) Women's Underwear," and I actually have it on video. You can see me doing it here:

http://s31.photobucket.com/albums/c393/pvreditor/?action=view&current=BobattheTortillaFactorylarge12-19-0.flv

As you can see, the audience is very forgiving. This is an open mic at the local folk club, and they do a Christmas-themed show every December. I was surprised to hear that so many of them knew this song, but they saved my butt when I forgot the words.

Anyway, since we're on the subject of underwear, I thought y'all might enjoy this.

IMHO it looks pretty damn lame.

I guess if you're trying to look like some felonious loser that you idolize (for whatever reason you may have to idolize felonious losers), then it works out ok. Ya gotta remember that this little fashion fad began in our federal penitentiary system due to ill-fitting prison attire. So if you wear your pants like the felons you must be one bad-azz mo-fo.

Or you just look like a stupid wanna be pseudo-thug-gangsta with no future and very little grey matter..... d;-)

I prefer underwear to be under. Poor Mr. pitcherday (my husband) was born without a butt, so I buy really long shirts for him to tuck in, or else once he bends over... the under sticks out. That was the great thing about the Army uniform... the blouse was really long so we didn't have to worry about any peek-a-boo!

I am extremely puzzled when I see a boy with his pants and belt around his knees walking down the street holding onto the belt buckle to prevent the completion of the wardrobe malfunction. I am dying to see one of them trip and fall on their face.

Ok everyone - explain this to me. I was a hippie so I've dressed in ways that people thought I was going to a costume party. Now maxi everything is in and has been for a long long time. So I am really open to things but what the heck is up with kids wearing their pants so low that the belt sits under their tush??? That can't be comfortable. Does anyone know what the deal is with that style. Yeah peek a boo from a model is one thing but this??

If I'm not mistaken, the droopy fashion is called "sagging" and it's been around for years. Somehow, the more you sag, the cooler you are.

There is always an element of elder shock in teen fashion. It's only cool if you're getting the disapproving stares of 50-year-olds. If mature adults who pay taxes and work to support you at school are outraged, then you've achieved the correct effect. It will be outgrown eventually, but not before you will have taken some embarrassing pictures.

I remember when boys started "bustin' a sag" (I'm not 50, but old enough...). It started when rap music kind of emerged as mainstream, so yeah, it was to annoy adults. Look at me! I listen to music with crap lyrics and a thumpin beat!

Unfortunately, rappers are still crotch grabbing and pants dropping so it will probably only go away when they stop doing it. I don't think it's going to fade as fast as, say, the grunge style did. I wish it would though...

Like Bob said it is a fashion thing - I suppose-... but I tell you if these guys who do it knew where it really originated from and what it means, they would probably be motirifed.  Most "ganster" fashions originate from prison traditions.  The guys get out and continue the practice and it has caught on.  Why I say the guys would be moritifed is that the practice of "sagging" the pants has a very unusual meaning... Basically that you are "open for business."  Yup... just like it sounds.

That said, I think the whole thing is dumb and silly.  Seriously you can't buy pants that fit so I don't have to see your underwear.  The ones that are the worst are the ones that don't wear boxers but some other form of underwear.  Most schools nowdays are starting to crack down on kids doing it but that doesn't help the older guys who do it.  They make oversized pants that actually fit your waist,... just get those.

NO!  I hate it.  Underwear is just that:  UNDERwear!  I don't want to see anyone's underwear.  It automatically drops that person's IQ a few notches for me when I see their underwear sticking out.
