I look so goofy in this. I'm not coming out of the dressing room . . .

Clothing trends. Gotta love them (or hate them). What looks so bad on you that you refuse to come out of the dressing room and would pay money to get the pic if your bud took a cell phone snap?

My keyboard houses a demon that puts up the wrong letters. Feel fine to tell us what you love goofy in, but I had in mind what you "look" goofy in. (Oh good - the headline typo fairy stopped by. Tks).

Mine are those capri pants. My legs are too slim and my feet too big. The legs on those are too wide. I look like a wanta be gansta rapper but not so cool and just plain funny.

Three words: wide-wale corduroy. Wearing anything with wide-wale corduroy makes me look like I'm the king of the nerds.

Skinny fit, slim leg black jeans. They look good on some girls but certainly not me. I think you need to be at least 5'10" and weigh no more than 105 lbs. to pull them off :)

P.S. Bob... I love the king of the nerds reference. Well done.

I can pull those off ... as long as they are low rise to fit under my belly :)  and I'm not 5'10" or 105... just the build.

I agree with Capris though.  I can never find any that fit right as my legs are just the wrong length for them to look funny.

I LOVE skinny jeans! I'm not that tall but I guess I have the build to wear them. Or maybe I don't and don't know it!

I really hate baggy clothes. I feel really strange wearing overly relaxed jeans with big flares. I also refuse to wear any pants that aren't long enough. I can't stand if pants are even a little too short. As a kid, I had very long legs and all my pants were high waters. I will never forget getting mocked for that. Now, if my jeans don't come down an inch lower then they need to, I won't wear them.

And I HATE one shoulder tops. I don't understand them and won't wear them. They look fine on people. I just can't stand the idea of wearing them myself.

Mini skirts and uggs - can we say ugly? A friend of mine coaxed me into wearing her "super cute" outfit of a sweater, mini skirt and a pair of very furry uggs. On me, just no. My thighs have too much muscle mass to be attractive at that length. And the uggs? They looked like I had just murdered two poor ferrets and wrapped them around leather boots. Another top peeve of mine are the 80s fashions. The 80s have passed. Why can't we move on too?

pregnant looking tops,  hopefully this style is on it's way out. I was wearing those not too long ago because i was pregnant and now I can't imagine choosing to wear that style.

Wow.. I agree.  I do have one top that fits that category that actually looks pretty good on me but I just don't get the style at all.

Oh I totally agree!  I cant stand it when I go into a store and half the tops are like maternity tops. Makes me so mad.  I do admit that I have one but I only wear it at home and on really hot days because it's super thin cotton and the next closest thing to being nekkid.

I am really short and round so most of the time trying on clothes is an exercise in futility.  Almost everything is too long on me and looks ridiculous.  The only place I can really shop at is Fashion Bug so if the styles there are weird I'm kind of screwed as it's the only store where I can find things that fit me well.

I have a babydoll top and my husband HATES it. I think I have a pic of me in it on my profile page. I put it on and he said, "WHAT is that top?" and I said it's a babydoll top and he said, "Looks like you're 6 months pregnant." Needless to say, I only wear the shirt around the house now. I really don't want to look pregnant although I am at the age where most people would probably just think I'm covering fat. lol.

I'm busty. The last thing I need is a top that is made like maternity. I just look like a blob. It just hangs out like I don't have a waist. I did have one, but I got rid of that thing.

I had to LOL about Patty saying folks would think our age is "just fat." Someone actually did ask when my baby was due? Huh? I am so not making babies if I can help it. I suppose I could, but I am NOT, NOT, NOT. Ya'll can quote me on that.

Why are all the shirts baggy maternity style or skin tight these days? I'm not pregnant or skinny enough to wear body hugging tops. What am I supposed to do - go topless? Oh no. I am just wearing my old stuff and hoping for new style trends.

I agree about the babydoll tops.  I would never wear one of them.  They look cute on you if you're 10 but not for an adult...then you just look pregnant.

I have lots of babydoll tops mainly because I've gained weight (stress= cortisol=fat) and they cover lots of stuff. But bathing suits - forget it!

footless tights...never figured out how to wear those! what do you put on your feet then,, socks? I hate having bare feet in shoes unless it is flip flops or real sandals. and do you wear it with a dress, a skirt, a large tunic shirt? And if it warm enough to wear sandals, then I sure don't need footless tights.

Are you talking about those tops where the seam is high so and the bottom layer flows bigger than normal?  I have a few that I LOVE yet it's true ppl assume stuff when I wear them.  I wore one to my sister's baby shower and people were saying "why are you wearing that, are you trying to tell us something?"  I had to flatten it down to show that I wasn't hiding anything.  I think they are cute, just wish people wouldn't automatically associate it with having a baby.

As for what I don't like, it's shirts that aren't fitted.  I am probably the only girl I know that never wears a regular T-shirt around the house.  I bought 2 shirts at eddie bauer that looked cute, then I remembered why I never buy tops at eddie bauer when I got home.  They aren't fitted so they hang straight down and make my belly look like it comes out as far as my chest!  Boooo.  Oh, and on this topic, it's no fair that fitted tops for girls cost more than regular t-shirts for guys.  During the stanley cup playoffs, my husband bought a red wings shirt for 10$, I was at the same store and all the fitted tops were 25... hello!  No fair!!!  So either I look boxy or I go broke.  I choose to wear a fitted red top to the game instead :)

Those super long maxi dresses.  I cannot stand them!  I'm only 5'2", so when I tried one on, it was huge and dragging on the floor.  Plus, I felt like a hippie.

Oh, and by the way, I love my Uggs! So cute, and comfortable!

A bathing suit!! But I have to share this. I bought what I thought was a really cool dress in a consignment shop. I put it on to wear it on Mother's Day. I want my hubby to tell me the truth and he said it looked awful and that I looked matronly (: Oh well, I sell it back! Jo

Short sleeved or sleeveless turtlenecks. If it's cold enough for a turtleneck, it's cold enough for sleeves. I feel completely ridiculous in them and I feel like I'm being strangled. I wouldn't come out of the dressing room with one on. Especially a short sleeved one. Not at all something I can pull off with confidence. And I don't like midriff baring tops either. If the top shows my belly, I won't consider wearing it. Very few people can pull off belly baring tops in any age range unless they're super buff and even then, I really don't like the look. Just a preference on my part.

Patty, I hate mock turtle necks with short sleeves! It is like having a dog collar on. I have two regular turtlenecks for under wool sweaters that have a high neck so my neck won't get itchy. That is the only time I wear them.

Overalls (cringe) and any dress that's empire-waisted. Tank tops or spaghetti strap anything. My skin is super-pale, so when my shoulders show it makes me feel like I am WHITE enough for people to stare.
