I was no this stuff for about a year and noticed no real change in any of my sypmtoms.  This drug has been contreversial here in Portland because there was an explosion of "drug seekers"  So when I got perscribed it I expected it to be a mircale drug and I would no longer suffer from panic attacks.

Perhaps I hoped for to much, some sort of quick cure.  I was on 2 mg twice a day.  I was just as antzy as always, the panic attacks didn't get worse but there was no noticable change.  I think that this might work for some, but probably should have an understanding of your panic before trying this out.  When they took me off it I stopped cold turkey, they wanted to slowly take me off it, but I just quit.  It is my understanding that this pill can cause dependency in the body and I ahve heard that withdrawls are usually likely, I experienced no such thing however I have heard stories from people who just stopped and one even had to be hospitalized.

As with all pills like this I encourage you to do your research, and if a script is needed great, but understand the reasons behind it within your own anexity etc.

I have heard that exercise is very good for depression and panic attacks. I'm happy to hear you're doing well.

I am doing well with my panic attacks, and thank you for asking. I hope you are doing well with yours. I found that now that I am jogging, my panic is more manageable.

Thank you. I can use all the light and good thoughts I can get. How are you doing with your panic attacks. Just was wondering. If you don't feel like telling me it's okay. Hope we can become good friends.

Thank you for the information you have given me. I think right now I'm to sad to get another bird. I still have Washee.Although I had to seperate them the cages were side by side and Washee is chirping away waiting for Doc. Maybe in the future I'll get another that looks just like Doc but for now I'm just to upset. I'm so sorry you have lost so many. My heart goes out to you as I understand how you feel.

Jonathan,
I believe with any new medication it's trial and error. What works for one person doesn't always work for another. I hope you found a medication to help you with your panic attacks. I've been on Xanax and Clonazapam worked better for me. Without this I wouldn't be able to live a halfway normal life. At one point and time I didn't leave my home alone for over a year, stopped driving, my life stopped because of the panic attacks. If I tried to stop taking this I know I would have withdrawal symptoms. That does make me a little nervous. If I weight the pros and cons of this I would have to say it helps me and I will continue to take this medication.

Years ago, I was on some sort of tranquilizer for a few weeks and I nearly freaked out when I quit! I forget what it was but after that I think I just settled for the anxiety instead! You're right, sometimes you do have to try to understand the source of the anxiety as well.
