I was pretty excited about trying the product when I first saw it at the Clinique section of a local department store. After all, I swear by the Clinique Acne Solutions 3-step system. I have acne marks and freckles, and darker spots from age or environmental damage. I was willing to pony up the sizable chunk of money that Clinique was asking for this product, and I expected to see good results! Unfortunately, after using it as directed for 3 weeks or so, I noticed that my skin was red, irritated, and dry to the point of badly peeling around my jawline cheeks, and chin. Normally I do not have dry skin. If anything, it's on the oilier side. Since this was the only newly introduced product in my usual skincare routine, I knew it had to be the culprit. I took it back to the store and explained the problem, and luckily had no problem returning it. I would really like to know of another product that effectively minimized skin spots, so if any reviewers can suggest one, please do!

I tried this product and it did nothing for me at all. I could have used just plain water and would have had the same results. I used the entire bottle and still nothing. I have a dark spot on my cheek. I did not expect it to go away completely but I did expect at least a little lightening. Don't waste your money!

This product completely faded my acne scars. I am a light-skinned African-American woman and each time I have needed to use this product it has worked great. Granted, it does take anywhere from 3-6 months to completely fade scars, but you will notice some improvement in as little as 6 weeks. I would definitely invest in the larger size as you will probably run out before you get your desired effect.

Clinique Dark spot corrector works a little better than other products in the market but it is far from working as promised. After trying a few products before, I was convinced that this one would make my face dark spots vanish and it did not change after almost 4 weeks of use. The salesperson guaranteed that it would show results after 2 weeks of use. My face feels smoother and brighter, but the dark spots remains the same. I apply the product twice a day as directed and apply the moisturizer with sunscreen also from Clinique, but no visible results. If you are looking for a product to brighten your face that may be a good choice, but for dark spots try something else or maybe laser.

This product is NOT expensive when you think about 1) the fact that a bottle is about a six-month supply; and 2) the stuff really works. My skin was blotchy and I never used sunscreen when I was young, so I have brown spots. I also have aging spots. All are fading with this product. I'm so glad I bought it.

I had high hopes from this product. The gal at the store said it had been getting good reviews. I went through the entire bottle along with the even better makeup that is supposed to have the same effect with no improvement. Luckily it didn't make anything worse as in some cases, but my hyper-pigmentation spots are just as noticable as before. Really dissapointed, it was expensive.

This stuff made me break out, so I had to stop using it. It is not worth it. I don't know how well it would have worked because of this. I'm glad I got it cheap online! The price is too expensive for me. I have been using Loreal's Youth Code Serum and that caused me to break out as well, but only lasted about a week, and I am liking the results for that.

Works wonderful. I am a 31 year old mother and started breaking out when I had my kid at 24. so I have plenty of scars to prove my battle with break outs. I've been using this product for about 2-3 months and my scars have significantly lightened. I use it 2x a day, morning and night followed by the even better skin moisturizer. I also use the pore refining corrector to help with future break outs and oil control. I recommend this product. I have received a lot of compliments on my skin, I couldn't be happier with the clinique line.

I read mixed reviews regarding this product. I have some old scars from acne and was looking for something to get rid of them. I am a fan of Clinique's three step system so I decided to give this a try. One thing that made me hesitant to buy this prodcut was the fact that It was pricey. I bought it off of Sephora.com. When I first applied it, it made my face feel soo soft! I have been using it for about a month now and have noticed small changes in my dark spots. So far the only thing it is really good for is a primer and leaving skin glowing and soft. I will have to continue to use to see improvments in my skin. So far only small improvements are visible. I was expecting more by now from this product as I am using it just as prescribed. If you are not willing to pay a lot for something that may or may not work for you, this product is probably not for you but if you have the money and are willing to take the risk and experiment, this product will be good.

I received this as a birthday gift because I wanted to try it based on the advertisements I had seen. I have some acne discoloration scars as well as spots from the sun. I have been using it regulary in the morning and in the evening underneath all other face products that I use. It feels really good when I put it on my skin and absorbs very well. Also doesn't feel like there's a layer of stuff on after I put it on. I have been using for about four weeks now and havent' seen a huge improvement in the discolorations. Sometimes it seems that it has helped a bit with evening skin tone but I wonder if it's just perhaps it is somewhat like a primer and helps to fill in uneven skin tones. I don't think I would recommend this based on the price and effectiveness that I have witnessed so far. As a primer or moisturizer it works but it would be a very expensive moisturer. I don't think it is that great of a product.
