I got this foundation because I wanted it to help improve my acne, but it actually made it worse! When my acne healed and left a dark mark, it was more intense than usual. The marks looked very dark compared to how they used to and took longer to fade. Also, it is very drying. My dry patches stood out and looked very crusty. My forehead looked like I had skipped moisturizer that day. It sunk into my smile lines and lines on my forehead. There is a small range of colors and I could not find a color that matched me perfectly so I had to go with one that was kind of orange. It lasts a pretty long time, I would say about nine or ten hours with only having to retouch with a translucent powder once. It has a medium consistency. It dries super quick so you have to work with it fast, which is why I use my hands to apply. It gets very streaky if you do not blend it in a lot. It also leaves fingerprint indentations if you apply two layers. It has an okay coverage but big blemishes are still visible.

I've always had acne and it only got worse with age. So when I found clinique's acne care I thought- this is as good as it gets. Then a few years ago they expanded their line to include liquid make-up. I'll be honest- I've got some scars from the acne and some freckles. The scars are nothing at all like you would expect of someone that's had acne this bad but yeah, it'd be nice to cover up the enemy freckles and just even out the skin tone make me look a little better. I wore the clinique liquid make-up to work and it worked well. So when this came out I was like- O.k. let's go. It makes my skin softer, smoother, better. When I run out of my usual cleanser I always want to go without make-up until I make to the mall and grab some more , but this stuff can be used to make it till I get there. It works more like cleanser than make-up, and covers what needs covered as well as anything can without using masks. The consultant always uses so much when she puts it on but I just do a 5 dab and call it a day. forehead, cheeks, nose and chin- smooth and it in.

I tried this product because I have oily face and I thought this could help me but I still feel my face oily.. I would tried other brands until find the right one for me.. I know clinique have good products but this doesn't work for me and is weird cause is for acne

I use many of Clinique's products because I am generally happy with their makeup. I use the acne solutions concealer with the foundation. The concealer contains 1.0% salicylic acid (the ingredient in most acne treatments of nonmakeup variety that usually have around 2.0%) and the foundation contains 0.5% salicylic acid. I have found an improvement since Clinique started this line of product and I'm happy with it-I only but when Clinique has in-store bonuses or online specials since their makeup can be expensive, but the quality is great! It won't cure acne, but it does help. The only problems are the quantity of shades in this particular line are limited. If you use the concealer under the foundation it helps since the concealer only comes in 3 shades. It also does not last as long as some other Clinique makeups that I have used.

Clinique has got to be my favorite beauty brand. I love everything about Clinique except for the cost. The Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup is no exception. If you want this product it will cost you. It is more expensive than the department store brands. With the exception of price I give it five stars. This is truly a wonderful make-up. My sister is at the age where acne is starting to be a problem. Someone recommended this product to her and she has had fewer breakouts since using the Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup. Well of course I'm a fan of clinique and had to give it a try. I love it! It goes on smooth and it doesn't take very much to completely cover your face. So it will go a long way. It does not rub off or fade during the day. I have not had any major breakouts since using this. You can choose from three diferent skin types. I will buy the Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup again.

Love this product for my skin! It has great coverage and a little goes a long way. The only negatives with this product are the price and it tends to dry out my skin.  I apply moisturizer and then immediately put on the makeup to prevent my skin from becoming too dry. Overal, great product.

I first started using Clinique's clarifying foundation several years ago as a result of having terrible acne.  Within days of using it, my acne cleared up and has been under control ever since.  When I went to buy some more this year and they told me it was discontinued, I panicked!  They told me they had a new formula that they would start selling that basically would take the place of the clarifying foundation and would be even better.  I was a little skeptical, but when it came out, I got some.  Acne solutions liquid make up is what took it's place and it's even better than the clarifying!  I love it!  It's smooth, it covers the amount that I want it to, and it has continued to keep my acne under control.  There isn't the problem of the acne treatment medicine and the actual foundation not mixing, like the clarifying did.  This foundation is not too liquidy, but not too thick, either.  It is a little on the expensive side, but one small bottle of it will last me at least 6 months.  Just in time for Clinique bonus!

I have been suffering from acne for so many years and have spent that much time in finding foundation that would actually cover up my scars and breakouts. This liquid makeup has salicylic acid in it, which treats your skin as you cover up. So it makes me feel less guilty for having to cover up my acne in the first place. I like the formula of this product. My skin hasn't been irritated by the medicine in the makeup, but maybe that's because I've used salicyclic acid for many years. It's decent in covering any blemishes and those annoying bumps, but it doesn't cover my acne scars so well. It was on my second try that I found a suitable shade for my face, and the coverage is pretty decent. It makes me start looking a little yellow towards the afternoon probably because of the medicine in the product. Overall, it's a decent product and I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from mild to moderate acne. It doesn't work on covering everything for me, so I am still on the search for something that will.

Since I'm fourteen and breaking out all the time (and don't want to wear a full face of foundation in the hot California weather!), I have used this foundation as more of a concealer for my zits. It works fabulously!! Usually I feel guilty trying to cover everything up, knowing that I'm basically contradicting myself, but with this I know I'm actually helping the problem. It blends easily into nothing, and is full coverage. Going onto the actual "helping the problem", it's not exactly full-strength spot treatment, but if you use this along with another acne product (Clinique Acne Solutions 3-step?) you'll be fine. I am a long time user of Clinique products. I'm prone to acne and deal with comibination skin. I recently tried this new liquid makeup line and loved it. It is a great product for anyone with light acne, heavy acne or just moderate adult acne I would say. The medicine content is very low so it won't hurt to use every day, .5%. Also, it doesn't dry my skin out like most blemish makeups do. I am very happy with the product and have been using for alittle over a month now. The price is good for the size of the product. The color chart online was perfect and I matched my skin tone right away. It was just as shown. I would give this product a try if you have combination skin especially. It is very evening for redness and blotchiness like I suffer from. It is lightweight and not cakey looking like some other liquid foundations. I top mine off with a dusting of clinique translucent powder. Give it a try and hope you like it!
