I do not suffer from a lot of acne. I do get tiny clogged pore bumps around my mouth and chin sometimes so I have tried several acne clearing products over the years. I think everybody's skin reacts differently to products so it really is best to try things at least once for yourself. Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer (Oil Free) had some things I liked and some I didn't. It is a little more expensive than most acne products I buy. Effectiveness I do not use this Clinique Acne Solutions product everyday, only when I have breakouts. It doesn't clear up all my issues but it helps. My skin is normal to dry and this by itself does not moisturize enough for me. I will still use it. I let it soak in for about 15 minutes and then apply an additional moisturizer if I need it. Clinique recommends using the facial wash and toner from the same line in addition to this. I do not do this because it would be too drying to my skin. I also will rub a little of this directly on a pimple when I get one. It does reduce the healing time of acne when I use it regularly. Not the best for me, but not the worst either.

My acne breakouts have never been too bad, but blemishes frequently occur around my forehead and chin area. The clearing moisturizer often comes in a 3-step system kit, and works very well. As the product is oil-free, I don't have to worry about aggravating my skin or clogging up problem pores I intended to treat in the first place! The moisturizer comes in handy as the cleansing foam can be pretty rough on your skin (It really dries your skin to the point of noticeable discomfort, which attests to Clinique's strength as an acne-fighting product). Even if you're not treating a bad outbreak, the individual, larger moisturizing tube is a good-quality purchase. Not only is it gentle enough for daily use, but it actively clears up your skin, even noticeable dark spots. The product is expensive, but works extremely well, so consistent and committed use is very important if you want the most out of this moisturizer!

I absolutely love Clinique products. I absolutely hate that so many cleansers out there are super drying and end up sucking up all the moisture out of my already kind of dry face! This little guy came to my rescue and doesn't leave my face oily or dry, just simply clean and fresh. Effectiveness Great for acne, pretty much does what the description on the bottle says. A lot of acne treatments are overly oily or too chemically for my taste. This works and is safe for my skin! Ease of Application Put it on, wait a bit, wash it off. Pretty self explanatory and couldn't be any easier! Plus, it doesn't burn or hurt my sensitive skin like most acne treatments do. Convenience Self explanatory! Side Effects Dries out a little too much for me, but I have dry skin. So if you do as well I would suggest using their moisturizer after the treatment. Immediacy Not as quick as some of the 'extra strength' products out there, but it's really quite effective after about a week or two, and you don't get any of the negative side effects that you get with other products.

Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil Free is a great product. I like the way it makes my skin look, clean and clear. It is oil-free too. I have combination skin. I use it on my face. I apply it to the areas that need it. This solution works like a light moisturizer. My skin rarely breaks out, usually in summer. I notice results within a few days. I like to use it twice a day, usually morning and night. I like to use it when I feel a pimple forming. I put this stuff on, and it prevents the breakout. It gets rid of oil, and my skin does not get red. It is medicated, but it doesn't irritate my skin. My skin does not peel either. The formula is not heavy. It goes on smooth too. I think it is expensive. I like to buy mine, when they have a "gift with purchase" deal. I get mine from high-end department stores in the beauty section. The size will fit in your purse or tote if you need to take it with you. I usually keep mine in the bathroom or in my bedroom. The container it comes in is cute with nice writing on it. You get a fair amount of the solution. It will last for months. I think this will work on most skin types, even sensitive skin. If you want soft and smooth skin, give "Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil Free" a try.

I use this when I have a blemish and it definitely helps to clear it up. I use it to spot treat my blemishes. I have very dry skin, especially in winter. I also have very sensitive skin. I have not had a problem with this product as long as I use it sparingly and to spot treat. Effectiveness For me, this product is very effective. Whenever I have a really bad blemish, I put this on at night and by morning it has cleared up a lot. Ease of Application Its easy to apply. I use it to spot treat my blemishes. I apply it directly on the problem area. Convenience It is very convenient. I use it when I need it. I keep it in my medicine cabinet and grab it when I have a skin issue that needs taking care of. Side Effects I have not gotten any side effects from it. Sometimes it makes the area of application very dry but to me it is worth it. I also have sensitive and very dry skin. Immediacy It does work very quickly. I have had times where it was quicker than others but overall it works quickly.

The thing about Clinique face products is that they work amazingly, and that extended use seems to improve their results, but I just can't afford it. The bottles are not sold in drugstores, so you need to head to a department store to buy it. On the plus side, it is frequently true that they have gift bags and stuff that comes with your purchase. I love this stuff because it is not too heavy or oily on your skin, and it really helps to clean up dryness without weighing you down. Effectiveness Very effective - it helps my combination skin to dry out where it is oily and moisturize where it is dry and rough. Ease of Application Does not leave a grease on your skin or anything, very nice smell. Bottle is a bit awkwardly shaped though, could be of a better design to facilitate the product getting out. Convenience As i mentioned, it is a bummer that it is only available in department stores, but I feel like they do that to make it feel exclusive and expensive (it is certainly expensive!)

I've used this lotion before and i think it worked well...but its definately not the best. it goes on easy and its odor less but it can become peely meaning after a while you'll see parts of the dry lotion start to peel off. i stopped using it after a while it just wasnt what i was looking for.

Hands down this is the best acne clearing moisturizer I have EVER used. Being a 21 year old women and still hormonal causes a lot of embarrassing, unwanted pimples. I never really had severe acne growing up but enough to hurt my self esteem. I first purchased this product almost a year ago to date along with the bar facial cleanser. The system of the two showed me almost instant results. Varying from less oil production, black heads, red zits and the nasty clogged pores on my nose. I even recommended this to my sister who had severe acne and it's 99.9% cleared up now. I'm proud to say that I'm more confident in my own skin and wearing less makeup. Only downside is that it is a little pricy for the amount they give you. Effectiveness Works very fast and efficiently. Ease of Application Product comes out easy so squeeze bottle with light pressure. Otherwise application feels clean, light moisturization, and no weird scent. Convenience Slender bottle great for travel, throwing into your purse, and a plus side the lid stays secure. Side Effects No side effects personally. Immediacy Cleared up my skin fully within a week.

My skin is very oily in the T-zone area, but I have dry cheeks. When I say oily I mean OILY, I can wash my face in the morning and 3 hours later it will be shiny! My dad's girlfriend bought this for her son but he now has a new product, so she gave it to me because I have been looking for a good moisturizer for acne-prone skin. Overall, this is a great product. I love the Clinique line when it comes to skin care items. The directions say to use morning and night, but I only use it in the morning. I just started using it last week and I already love it. Like someone else mentioned, it does dry your skin (even oily skin like my mine), but that's a **good** thing, because you want the oil gone. Not ALL of it, though. That is one reason I do not use it at night. I did at first, but I realized it was drying my skin out too much. In addition to this, I apply an acne prescription cream before putting this on. (I use a topical cream both morning and night.) It has not seemed to interfere with anything else I use, which I like and need. Great product!

I was initially excited to learn about Clinique's Acne Solutions line as I've been suffering from acne my entire adult life. I have a unique problem in that my skin is extremely oily with very large pores and yet it manages to be sensitive so many if not most acne products irritate my skin.   Although I have been pleased with other products in this line, the moisturizer was a giant nightmare. It was so harshly drying that it actually made my ridiculously oily skin *flake*! Worse, my skin continued to have problems with flaking in areas for weeks after I used the product. As an added bonus, it smelled unpleasant. Normally I can deal with an unpleasant smell - if the product is effective. Needless to say I only used it once. I continue to use the other two steps in this line, but I use Neutragena oil-free moisturizer instead of Clinique's.    I gave this product two stars instead of one only because I am aware of my skin's unfortunately unique nature and therefore realize that it may be better on others' skin. But honestly, I would be surprised.
