I have been Clindamycin Phosphate Topical Solution 1% for numerous years now. I took a break from using it for about a year just so that way my skin would not build up an immunity to it.  I love how Clindamycin Phosphate solution works. I was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome is well known for causing extreme breakouts, mostly of the big, red, ugly cystic acne especially around my chin area. Almost immediately after starting to use the Clindamycin Solution the redness faded and the cystic acne started to disapper. I use the Clindamycin Phosphate 1% Solution once in the morning and once in the late afternoon. I have never experienced any redness or irritation. The biggest side effect I have ever experienced from using this medication is some very slight drying of the skin where the solution was applied. This product does not have a foul smell but, it does not smell like roses either. The smell is mostly thatt of alcohol. The alcohol in the Clindamycin solution causes a slight tingling to the area being applied but, the slight tingling sensation that the Clindamycin creates is actually kind of kind of refreshing. This is also a very inexpensive medication but, only available by prescription. Overall this product gets two thumbs up as far as price, effectiveness, and ease of use.

Clindamycin Phosphate 1% Lotiongre is a prescription medication used to treat acne and acne lesions. It works by stopping the growth of acne. Personally, I've never had severe acne but from time to time I do have breakouts that drive me crazy. I have tried so many over-the-counter-products over the last four years (Neutrogena, Proactiv, etc.), and none of them worked. Finally, I decided to visit my dermatologist, who prescribed Clindamycin Phosphate 1% lotion.  Given my past experiences with acne OTCs, I wasn't expecting much. That said, after six days of Clindamycin Phosphate lotion, my skin looked amazing. I couldn't believe the results. I've been using this prescription religiously for over a year now, and I do believe it has helped prevent future breakouts. I would recommend this product to any individual who is fed up with OTC products that do not work. The side effects are minimal (a little dryness and redness from time to time) but the benefits are amazing. I guess the only disadvantage I can think of is having to make an appointment with a dermatologist, but it's worth it in the end! Trust me.
