Written by Steve Koren (Seinfeld writer, Evan Almighty writer, Bruce Almightywriter) and brought to life by comedic actor Adam Sandler and sexy actress Kate Beckinsale, we have an updated version of the classic Jimmy Stewart film It's A Wonderful Lifeessentially. Within Click, instead of an angel showing what life would be like if he'd never been born, we have an angel showing what life would be like if he was given a remote control to fast-forward through the parts in life that can be viewed as boring, frustrating, tedious, time-consuming and so on.
Obviously, the moral of the story is that each and every part of life should be cherished and appreciated because it's over before you know it, and the regret of what you missed out on could be great if you prioritized the wrong things in life.
Adam Sandler brings a lot of humor and balance to what is a sombre plotline, and Kate Beckinsale is just wonderful to look at, arguably at her sexiest ever. The angel (Morty) is played by Christopher Walken. Walken also gives a funny performance although quite dark.
The funniest scenes in the film come with Michael's (Adam Sandler) ability to PAUSE life and play pranks on his fellow stars. For example, a scene where his boss (David Hasselhoff) abuses his power on his employee, Michael PAUSES time and then slaps Hasselhoff in the face repeated ly and then farts in his face a number of times. When he unfreezes time, Hasselhoff is horrified and confused to what brought on the pain in his cheek and the smell in his nostrils.
The Blu-Ray edition is the best way to appreciate Click. The picture and audio is amazing. There aren't many features on the disc, but the movie is so much more fun in crystal clear 1080p video transfer.
