Cool gadget for the kitchen

4

This device is like a very strong pair of scissors that allow you to cut up food with out dragging out a cutting board. I think it is pretty effective at its job and the handles allow you to get more leverage to cut then a normal pair of kitchen shears. The spring also allows you not to have to open each time in between cuts. Comfort This tool is pretty comfortable to use. There is a rubber like coating on the handles so you can use it a long time with out it hurting your hand. Although you forearm may burn a little from squeezing the thing if you use it for a long time. Performance This thing works pretty well for cutting up normal everyday things in the kitchen like vegetables and small pieces of meat. I have never used it to cut up really thick meat or very hard items though. Durability Seems very durable. I have never had any problems as far as it not working or it breaking on me. I think as long as you use it the way its meant to be you shouldnt have any problems with it. Design Pretty cool design. It really does make it easier to cut certain things.

Very useful kitchen tool - I love the Clever Cleaver

I have never seen something like this before it appeared on one of the home shopping channels.  I normally don't watch them, but it was on as I was flipping channels.  this is a knife with a built-in cutting board, called the Clever Cleaver.  It is designed to cut vegetables, fruit, and other items with one hand - at the same time you cut your food, you also let it drop in the right bowl.  No more grabbing food with one hand, a knife with another, using a separate cutting board, and transporting the food to a separate bowl.  Sounds strange?  It's not, really.  The cutting motion feels natural somehow.  The food prepatory time is cut in half.  This gadget springs open easily, and works on so many different items - sausage links, hot dogs, broccoli, carrots, and so much more!  I used mine many times every week, and it finally stopped springing open so much - after a good 1.5 to 2 years of use.  In retrospect, I think frozen sausage links are a bit too hard for this gadget - it's best to let them thaw a little first.  If you can grab one of these, do so.  The time and effort savings are worth the price!
