The Cleveland Zoo is one place I visit at least once a year!

I always try to visit the Cleveland Zoo at least once a year. It's about an hour drive from my home, and always worth the drive. We made a point of taking our kids for Mother's day this year, and we didn't realize until we arrived that mothers and grandmothers got in for free that day! While it was a nice surprise, it was a bit too crowded for me, and we had a hard time enjoying ourselves. The elephants and hippos are gone this year, and won't be back until 2011, since they're building the new elephant enclosures. I was a bit disappointed by this, but I really should have checked out their website...

Great place to spend the day

I grew up in Cleveland and always enjoyed our family trips to the Cleveland Zoo. I have since moved away and started my own family. A couple of months ago when we were home to visit, I took my daughter to the zoo with another friend and her child. We needed something inexpensive and entertaining for both adults and children. The zoo was a hit! The kids got to look at all of the wonderful exhibits while the moms got to catch up and get some exercise. Excellent Zoo and rainforest

Cleveland zoo is a solid choice in a state full of great zoos. They have the best rain forest outside of Omaha, NE. It features lush rainforests, wallfalls and aninmals such as ocelots, fishing cats, porcupines, 3 types of bears, small clawed otters. Defintely the highlighted exhibit and a must see!!! They also have the best beaver exhibit again outside of Omaha, NE. They have above average wolf exhibits, African savanna, and Austrilian. This zoo has size and great exhibits.
