The 1, 2, 3, and 4-iron are officially dead; seriously, dead. The word "hybrid" isn't just used in the car industry. The golf industry's hybrid is a relatively new club that is a cross between a fairway wood (or metal) and a long iron. I have had a few hybrid clubs and have settled with a 21-degree steel shafted Cleveland Halo Hybrid. —
