I booked flights with Cleartrip.com (which advertises on viewpoints) from Delhi to Kathmandu.  I have used the company before and everything was fine.  However, I needed to make an amendment to one of the flights booked and then the problems began.  This company will accept a British credit card for bookings but will NOT accept the same card to pay for any amendments.  I have spent hours e-mailing and phoning them (they are based in India) and eventually had to send an international money transfer for £28 which cost me £20 to do.   (They asked for  an Indian credit card which I do not possess)  They then asked for  a copy of the bank receipt for this transaction, which I duly scanned and e-mailed to them and now they still will not make the amendment until the money is in their bank account.  If the price of the flights changes in the meantime, I am back to square one.  Why (a) will they not accept British credit cards for amendments when accepting them for the orignal bookings and (b) not make the amendment when they have proof via the e-mailed receipt that the money is on it's way to their bank account.  Unless your travel plans are set in stone, DO NOT USE CLEARTRIP.COM.
