LOVE clearplay, player Ok

By

from Big Sandy, TX

Comments about Clearplay - Upconvert:

First of all, we LOVE Clearplay. We are completely delighted with the thoroughness of the filters and the options that allow you to customize the filtering. Movie watching is so much more enjoyable without the language and scenes that corrupt them. Downloading the filters has been a simple process, and the filters are so readily available. We like that we can use an SD card for the filters. Clearplay is just fabulous! We highly recommend to families who want to watch movies, but also want to shield their ears and eyes from inappropriate material. This is our second dvd player from Clearplay, as a DVD player, we've found they have their problems. Both players have locked up on us at times. Also, the remote frequency conflicts with our VIZIO VHT510 surround sound system. This has caused frustration as adjusting the audio will FF the dvd...annoying. Obviously this would only be a problem if you have the same systems. I give 4 stars only because the actual DVD players from Clearplay seem low quality for the price. It's totally worth the compromise though to have the filtering!

Clearplay Saves Family Movie Night!

By

from Bethlehem, PA

Comments about Clearplay - Upconvert:

We are on our third Clearplay DVD player. Why do we keep buying them? Because they're awesome! The first one was attacked by a toddler who decided to shove an extra DVD in. Note: I recommend only trying to play one DVD at a time. With an extra DVD floating around in there unbeknownst to us, the motor burnt out. There was no question of what to replace it with - we immediately ordered another ClearPlay. A few years later, when we bought a new HD tv, of course we had to upgrade the DVD player as well. So after another visit to ClearPlay.com, we have been happily watching family 'unfriendly' movies turned family friendly. We have turned on at least two other families to the joys of ClearPlay. Goodbye cringing, and half finished movies because they turned out to be inappropriate... Hello relaxed movie viewing even with little ones in the room. I can't imagine EVER not having our ClearPlay in the house.

This new Clearplay is miiles ahead of their other players

By

from Berryville, AR

Comments about Clearplay - Upconvert:

Clearplay DVD players are a wonderful way to watch many of the newer movies without having to be subjected to all of the language, violence, and sexual content that are so prevelent in today's movies. It not only lets you set your own filters, but it also lets you set the strength of those same filters. That way if you are watching a war movie or a western it won't completely take all of the violence out if you so choose. Unlike other movie filtering units, Clearplay filters way more that just language. It has12 filters settings that include the following: Violence, Sex, Nudity, Vulgarity, Bloodshed, Substance Abuse, Blasphemy, Disturbing, Bigotry, Dishonor Parent, Dishonor Flag, and Mushiness. You download the filters for each movie off of their website with a USB flash drive. Overall Clearplay does a great job removing objectional content. However, I have noticed once or twice where a curse word has not been removed from a film.  When I mentioned this to Clearplay  they had someone from their department review the film filter and make the necessary changes. The new Clearplay 747 HD Upconvert is miles ahead of their other DVD players. Some of their other players have not been very reliable and only lasted a couple months, but with this new unit, I have not had any trouble whatsoever.
