Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash —

I am a 32 year old female who has been troubled by acne since seemingly birth.  Okay, well, maybe not that long, but a very long time indeed.  I have tried all sorts of over-the-counter products, various soaps, acne creams, ProActiv, and other more risky treatments like Accutane.  I had essentially given up the idea of acne-free, red-free skin.

Not too long ago I particpated in a study where I trialed two acne products.  There were no brand names on the products, but the packaging shape and color was the same as what you might find in the store.  I recieved my first product, and being the acne wash pro that I am, recognized the bottle & liquid to be Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash.  It worked well for two days and I was thinking "GREAT!"  On the third day, little break outs started to occur and they kept on coming for the remainder of the two weeks I was trialing the product.

The second product arrived and I didn't recognize the manufacturer.  I am a fan of the color blue, and there was some clear blue plastic on a portion of the cap.  I opened it up to try it and found a glistening, pearly cream with a faint but pleasant scent.  I was thinking "this is interesting."  After using the wash at bedtime, I woke up the following day with already clearer skin.  I kept using it on a daily basis, and to my surprise it KEPT ON WORKING!  Near the end of me trialing the product, I went to the store to match up the packaging to see what mystery product I had stumbled upon.

It was Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash.

Unbelievable!  Clearasil, really?  No way.  I used Clearasil right about the same time I used Stridex and OxyClean in middle and high school.  I thought there was no way this is the product that had helped me so much in the past few weeks.  So I popped open the cap, and sure enough, the same pearly cream with pleasant scent was right there in front of me.  It cost me about $8.50 for the bottle.

I was so impressed with the Face Wash, that I purchased other products in the same line:  Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Scrub and Clearasil Ultra Pore-Cleansing Pads (I think that was the name anyway).  My personal routine is to wash once daily at bedtime with the Face Wash, follow with a Pore-Cleansing Pad, and after that dries (and by the way it stings a bit), I apply Aveeno Calming Face Lotion (the Pad can be a little irritating and drying, but when I added this part to the regimen, things got even better).  About every third day I substitute the Face Scrub instead of the Wash.

I have been using the products for over a month now and I can't believe the improvement.  My husband has also seen a difference and has started using the Pore-Cleansing Pads.  My sister, who unfortunately was blessed with the same skin I was, noticed the difference immediately and is now planning to follow this regimen.

So, adults with acne and redness, go forth and purchase products from the Clearasil Ultra line.  They are affordable, they are easily available at stores, and they WORK!  I no longer accept facial acne and redness as being a part of how I look.
