Murad Essential-C Cleanser

Murad Essential-C Cleanser
This orange scented cleanser cleans my face, without drying!
into natural products, love fruity scents, like trying new things, beauty product lover, will pay for quality

DEC

2009

At one of my recent online orders to Sephora, I was given a free trial-size sampler of the Murad Essential-C skin care line.  The samples were actually mini products, and not foil wrappers, so they were definitely generous samples.

The Murad Essential-C Cleanser is designed to:

  • Neutralizes environmental aggressors
  • Restore moisture
  • Remove impurities
  • Bind moisture to skin

My Experience

This cleanser smells nice, like orange candy.  There are small, orange balls in the clear cleanser that probably exfoliate a little bit.  A little bit of this cleanser goes a long way.  After using, my face...

Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap

Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap
not for sensitive skin!
Willing to pay for quality, busy mom

DEC

I am so disappointed by this product. I bought it because of the natural factor - I do NOT want SLS in my hair or my kids' hair. I bought this thinking it would be great for the kids as well as me - for our bodies and our hair. Well, the first time the boys had it in the tub, it left red welt-looking rashes on their skin! Next time, I used it only on their hair and it left the same thing around their foreheads. So no more for them!

I have been using it myself, and only on my hair, as I got welt-like rashes on my skin as well. At first it seemed to be working well, but now my hair is dry, brittle...

Clinique Face Wash

Clinique Face Wash
Great Face Wash for Winter
fun loving, busy mom, a bargain hunter, appreciate nice things, married, a busy person, loyal to brands I like, budget conscious

DEC

Clinique face wash is great for these dry winter months. I normally have very oily skin but in the wintertime myskin is so dry that Clinique face wash is the only thing that works. You will need a separate makeup remover, as it is not great at removing makeup. I use Clinique face wash morning and night and it is not a harsh facial cleanser.

Clinique offers 4 different types of cleanser based on your skin type, so if your skin is very dry or very oily they have a face wash made just for you. Even if you are acne prone, they have a face wash for that too. It is also not a have cleanser so it doesn't...

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Shine Control Cleanser

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Shine Control Cleanser
Clearly Wonderful!
troubled by acne, bargain shopper, a beauty diva

DEC

I LOVE THIS! I love  the scent, I love the clean feeling, I love my skin after I use Clean and Clear Morning Burst! I am in my late 30's and still suffer with oily, breakout prone skin. I am not, however, able to use any salicytic acid products as it makes my breakouts worse. I try not to overdry my skin with benzoyl peroxide cleansers, so this limits my choices for acne-prone skin. This product really works! Light scrubbing action without being too abrasive, great clean smell, and clearer, brighter skin without overdrying! Price point is nice- under 7 bucks for a bottle that lasts about a month...

Boots No7 Beautifully Balanced Purifying Cleanser

Boots No7 Beautifully Balanced Purifying Cleanser
Great for the Sensitive Skinnies out there!
Picky about cleansers, a dry skin sufferer, troubled by acne, into trying new things, into anti-aging creams, a beauty diva

DEC

2009

This product in a nutshell: is a basic facial cleanser that gently removes make-up and impurities without stripping the skin of vital moisture.  My winter skincare regiment has a new co-pilot!

My skin has a few temper tantrums when the weather turns cold and I have tremendous difficulty finding something to wash my face with that a) gets the gunk off and b) doesn't create a whole other problem like drying my skin out.  Sensitive skin like mine requires gentle cleansing, but I find that creamy washes designed for my type of complexion don't do a great job of cleaning.  In fact, I find that I...

Biore 4-in-1 Self-Foaming Cleanser

Biore 4-in-1 Self-Foaming Cleanser
Feels wonderful on your skin, and smells fabulous too.
Willing to pay for quality, loving this product, married, busy Mom

DEC

2009

My husband always fills my Christmas stocking with products that I can pamper myself with.  This year, he was sweet enough to give me a Biore' product that I had never used.  It is Biore 4-in-1 Self-Foaming Cleanser and I LOVE IT!  The smell alone is just amazing, and if I had picked it up at the store myself, it's the gentle scent that would have sold me on it.   To me, the scent is reminiscent of a high-quality product that a professional at a spa would apply to your face.

Aside from smelling great, what I love about Biore 4-in1 Self-Foaming Cleanser is that it does the job of four separate...

Bath and Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

Bath and Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap
Great Hand Soap
a casual cook, frequent snacker

DEC

2009

I really love trying new Bath and Body Works products, so I was excited to find this Bath and Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap on sale for less than $5 at my local store.  The first thing I noticed about this product was that it contains aloe vera which is very soothing on your skin and second, it was antibacterial which is great for killing germs on skin and around the house.  I liked the variety of scents because most of them were floral, and others were fruit infused.  I decided to try two different scents, the cucumber and then the cherry blossom because I liked the fragrances and the...

Bath and Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

Bath and Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap
Good stuff!
au 'naturale', troubled by acne, Willing to pay for quality, fun loving

DEC

2009

My favorite scent is Fresh Water Cucumber (it's so freshing!).

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite foaming hand soap, not only of bath and body works, but of ALL TIME!! It smells very fresh and clean (but this various by the scent and your own preferences) and not sickeningly sweet. The price is great when they go on sale or have coupons! I stocked up when they were doing the $2 sale. They are normally $5 which still isn't bad considering you get a lot in the 8 ounce pump dispenser! I keep one in the bathroom and the kitchen since it's anti-bacterial, and kills germs. I actually have the lotion of the...
