Dryer Max Anti-Static Dryer Balls

Dryer Max Anti-Static Dryer Balls

NOV

2009

About eight years ago my sister bought these "dryer balls" for me to use in my dryer instead of using dryer sheets. My sister had bought them at the local fair. The dryer balls did remove most of the static, but did not leave a nice smell the my clothes like a dryer sheet does.

Another thing that I really hated about the dryer balls were that they made a lot of noise bouncing around in my dryer especially after the clothes began to dry. The more the clothes got dry the more noise the dryer balls made. It was a bit rediculus. Very irratating. The worst thing is when the clothes were just about...

Bounce Dryer Bar

Bounce Dryer Bar
Willing to pay for quality

NOV

2009

I received a Bounce Dryer Bar from Viewpoints and love it. It works great, I can smell the freshness on my clothes even after 6 weeks. It beats having to remember to throw in a dryer sheet for every load of laundry I do. If I forget the dryer sheet, my clothes/sheets/towels/whatever, turn out staticy or not as soft, and I always use fabric softner in the wash as well. With the Bounce Dryer Bar I do not have to remember to put a sheet in the dryer. The dryer bar sticks to the inside of the dryer so I do not have to remember to throw anything in the dryer with my clothes. I just throw my clothes...

Glade Candles - All Fragrances

Glade Candles - All Fragrances

Not only are these candles much smaller than the Febreeze ones, but they also don't smell as strong. I know some people don't want an overpowering scent, but when I was burning some of these I couldn't smell anything! For just a few dollars more, I would almost ALWAYS choose a Febreeze candle since they smell much nicer and when they are burning the scent is more noticeable.

What I do like about the Glade candles is the fact that they are always introducing new scents and flavours. They even have seasonal kinds of scents for Christmas, Fall, Spring, etc. I think this is great so you can change...

Febreze Candles

Febreze Candles
Willing to pay for quality, a fan of clever plots

I have tried the Febreeze candles in all sorts of scents, and have found that some are better than others. It really depends on what you plan on using them for but they really do last as long as advertised (30 hours or more!) and come in a great variety of scents that can scintillate any person's tastebuds!

My personal favourite is the Brazilian Carnval. If you don't care about colour scemes in your house and don't need your candles to match every piece of furniture - then this candle is for you! It has citrus undertones so its great at getting rid of the fried food smell in the kitchen, and it's...

Febreze To Go

I didn't think masking a smell on any type of fabric would ever work. I know of many "Febreeze" wannabees that attempt to just that. Instead of buying the huge bottles which I knew I wouldn't be able to finish, I settled for these "to go" packs and realized that they are awesome for the car, for my office, for other little places that need a quick freshening up once in a while. The smell is just as strong, if not stronger than that in the bigger bottles so usually one or two spritzes is enough to get rid of any strong, disgusting odour.

I also like that the smell is not too flowery or too strong....

Bounce Dryer Bar

Bounce Dryer Bar

NOV

2009

I just finished using my first 2 month bar and have just purchased two more.  I really like this product but will not be totally replacing my liquid fabric softener.  Mainly because I like to hang dry some items.  I was really pleased with how good my clothes smelled when they came out of the dryer.  I think this bar made them smell better than the liquid softener or even dryer sheets (which I have not used in years).  As far as softness, I did not notice any difference between the bar or the liquid softener.  The biggest plus of this product is the ease of use. You just pop the bar in...

Kleenex Viva Paper Towel

Kleenex Viva Paper Towel

NOV

I love, love, love Kleenex Viva Paper Towels!  To me, this paper towel feels more like cloth than paper.  It is my household indulgence.  For most household items I find the cheapest alternative.  However, I love these towels so much that I splurge for them.  It sounds funny, but it makes me feel a little elegant and rich when I use them.

I love to use Viva towels for every day cleaning.  On thing I do is drizzle a little olive oil on my wood furniture and shine it up with the Viva paper towels.  I've tried this with other towels, and it is not the same.  The Viva towels work really good...

Surf Detergent

Surf Detergent

NOV

I usually buy detergents without dyes or scents.  However, I recently got several $3 coupons for Surf.  For me, price often trumps other preferences.  I couldn't pass up the low price.  I also was a little taken aback that Surf only comes in a powder form in stores near me.  I am used to using a liquid detergent.

When using Surf, I noticed the strong scent.  It smells good, but I am not used to a scent.  It cleans very good.  I've cleaned all different types of fabrics, and it handles them well.  It has even removed stains from my toddler's clothing.  The powder is actually very easy...

Bounce Dryer Bar

Bounce Dryer Bar

NOV

2009

I tried the Bounce Dryer bar when I got a coupon a couple months ago.  It adheres to the side of the dryer.  It is a little pricey, and I'm not sure if I'll purchase another one after this first one.  It stuck very easily to the inside of the dryer and had a strong adhesive.  I'm a little nervous that the holder won't be easy to remove when I'm done with it.  The reason I use fabric softener is to remove static and make sure clothes are not stiff when I remove them from the dryer.  The Bounce Dryer bar is great.  It accomplishes both of these for me.  It also leaves a nice scent.  There...

Woolite One Step Foam Carpet Cleaner

Woolite One Step Foam Carpet Cleaner
cleaning a lot of dirty carpets, all about practical, a busy mom, a savvy saver

NOV

2009

Woolite One Step Foam Carpet Cleaner gets a lot of use at our house. I have three children. They all have holes in their chins. Food and drink goes in and comes right out the hole. Then there's the artist in the family. Markers show up quite nicely on carpet. You don't even need to try that out...just take my word for it.

Here's what I like about Woolite Carpet Cleaner:

  • It's easy--just shake the can, point the nozzle and squirt. The can says to let it dry and then vacuum. We just use an old towel and scrub because foam is a great play thing around my house.
  • It works well on new stains and water...

Bounce Dryer Bar

This was a great concept.  I put the dryer bar in the dryer as direceted on the package and it fell off after 10 min.  I tried a few other places but was never able to get it to stay on the dryer wall.  Money down the drain for me.

Palmolive Dishwashing Liquid

Palmolive Dishwashing Liquid
Willing to pay for quality, fun loving, busy mom, neat freak

NOV

Since I do alot of dish washing at home, I come to try out many different dishwashing soap.  And I have come to the conclusion that Palmolive is one of the best if not the best.  It cuts grease from pots and pans and after washing, I feel my dishes and pans very clean.  With other detergents, I feel I have to use a larger amount of soap and work harder to get the grease/stains off.  It's the only brand I would buy.

Bounce Dryer Bar

Bounce Dryer Bar

I tried the new bounce drier bar and really was not impressed.  Sure it smells great, freshens your clothes and leaves them feeling soft to the touch, but no matter how many times I tried it, I could not get it to stay stuck in the inside of the drier. Every time I put in the drier bar and leave it with my drying clothes, the bar breaks loose from the side and bounces around in the spinning drier.  Maybe if they were to make it where it would stick, I could give it a better review.I purchased on package and still have not used up the bar.  Therefore i cannot say how long it lasts or if...

Bounce Dryer Bar

Bounce Dryer Bar

I only bought this product because I had expiring registar rewards at walgreen's and needed something to buy. The bounce dryer bar was printing another registar reward and I had a coupon for it so it was basically free. I figured for free, what could it hurt. I had read about others having problems with it falling off or ruining their dryer but my husband didn't think it would be a problem in ours. He put it in place for me as he is more mechanically inclined then I am and I didn't want to mess anything up. It has worked so well. It's been in there for a few weeks now and has never budged. I do...
