I have always had oily and acne-prone skin. I have used so many products on my face in teh past twenty years or so. I couldn't even begin to name them all. I have used prescriptions as well as over the counter medications to treat my acne. I have always like the Clean and Clear line of products and have used them for a few years now. I have to say that nothing works better as a topical spot treatment as well as the Clean and Clear Persa Gel 10 to treat pimples and blemishes. When I have a pimple or just feel one coming on, I will immediately apply the Clean and Clear Persa Gel to that area and it will either stop it from forming or the pimple is usually gone within 2 days. This stuff is amazing! I use it all the time, and it really helps dry out problem areas! It's a little on the expensive side, but a little bit goes a LONG way.

It's easy to find, around at every drug store I've looked for it at. I keep a bottle with me all time time, for emergencies. I wear it under my makeup almost every day.This isn't like other drying products that can be overdrying, burning, or make your skin raw. This works perfectly, and works wonders with that. It works really fast, sometimes even overnight. Having this as part of my skin-care arsonal is one of the best desicions I ever made about my skin and how I treat it. It's super easy to use, and really effective with that.

However, you have to be careful. It bleaches fabrics, so make sure you wash your hands really well after using it and not to touch anything that might get bleached before you do. 

All in all, this is a fantastic product that I would recommend to anyone and everyone who might have any tiny need for it.

Gets rid of problem pimples fast

I have mild acne and only use this product on certain kinds of pimples because the Benzoyl Peroxide is so drying. There was a time that I would apply a thin layer of this to my entire face in hopes it would prevent breakouts, but it never worked for me. It would end up drying my face and making certain areas flaky. So I now only apply this to large problem pimples. When I first notice a huge pimple forming, I apply Persa-Gel 10 to it twice a day until it goes away. I occasionally get large pimples when I'm under stress, the kind that create a huge swollen bump on your face. I have had one linger on my face for 2 weeks before. Even using concealer is useless because there is still a golf-ball...

Effective acne treatment but can be over-drying

Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 is a very effective treatment for mild to moderate acne. I have used Clearasil's benzoyl peroxide product before as well and found the results to be similar between the two products. I can usually see results the next day, although it still takes at least two to three days for most acne to be completely healed. A little goes a long way, so don't use more than you need to cover each problem area. If you are like me and have combination skin, you can easily dry out your skin and cause lots of peeling if you use too much. Good value for your money and it works (sort of)

I have been using Persa-Gel for over 10 years (twice a day) to control my persistent acne. While it will never completely clear my acne (no product can ever do that), it is effective enough in making my face presentable without makeup. I have tried other products in the same general price range and have found this to be the most effective. I have even been to see dermatologists who have prescribed more expensive treatments and the results were comparable.

To my dismay, I still get pimples even though I am way past puberty age. I was very interested in this product when I read that it had the strongest concentration of benzoyl peroxide---prescription strength! I expected my pimples to clear up easily, but I was wrong.

The product itself, is just like a lotion. It does not sting or burn. If you put on too much, you will be left with white splotches on your skin, so it is important to work it into your skin if you are going to be leaving the house.

Unfortunately, Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 did not get rid of any of my pimples any faster than when I am not using it. I even tried another tube of it, but the results were exactly the same. I...

Best OTC acne treatment!

I have used this product for years and it is the best over the counter acne medication that I have found. Throughout high school, I used this product every other day since it can be a bit drying. Now, that I am almost thirty and still have occasional acne, I use it as a spot treatment when I feel a spot coming up. The spot typically is gone by the next morning. A couple of cautions is to wash your hands well after applying so you don't accidently get it into your eyes. It burns! Also, I got it on a t-shirt once and it left a bleach spot. I never realized how important this stuff was to me until I was in China and had a breakout. I tried to find the product at all of the drugstores and bought a couple of similar products instead. None of them were the same. Now when I travel, I always carry a very small container of this product to have just in case I may need it. Great Product! Thanks, Clean and Clear!

Persa-Gel saves my skin!

I really love this stuff. It's the only product that delivers consistent results for me. I have horrible skin and break out regularly. This is the only product that I've tried that really seems to keep my breakouts to a minimum. On the negative side, it does tend to make my face red so when it starts doing that I don't use it for a day or two. It does tend to burn too if left on for a long time, although it could be the cleanser I'm using too. I use a cleanser with salicylic acid in it, so maybe the reaction of the two is causing the burn, I'm not sure. I've been using this stuff though for about a year now and I'm really impressed. The price is very reasonable compared to some of the other acne treatments that are out there.

I am acne-prone so I always try to find the best gel or cream to get rid of acne. I've used a good number of products but I don't think I've used one better than this Persa-Gel 10 from Clean & Clear. It comes out like a typical cream would and doesn't smell so that's a good thing. One minor knock on this product is that you have to keep rubbing the cream onto the affected area until the white color clears up and you are ready to go out. It's pretty strong and can dry up pimples pretty fast but it can leave a dark/black spot where the pimple was.

I've read that you shouldn't use an anti-acne gel/cream that has more than 2% benzoyl peroxide and this product has 10% of it, so it's your call. I use it because it does the trick of getting rid of pimples but I would like to know what are the consequences of using 10% benzoyl peroxide in the long run.

As someone who does not have the clearest skin, this product is perfect! Anytime my face breaks out, I use the Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 one or two times daily until it is cleared up. If the breakout is extremely bad, I usually use it twice a day for it to work faster. However, many times, I'll use it once a day so as to not dry up my skin. If you have sensitive skin, I would try this on a small area and only once a day to see how your skin reacts. Though it is strong and does dry your skin, it does not hurt like some acne products do. Persa-Gel is a pretty good product. It takes a little bit more time because you have to clean your face... Then apply this gel... Then if you are going outside you have to wait for the gel to dry then apply a layer of sunscreen to protect your face. The active ingredient in Clean and Clear Persa-Gel is Benzoyl Peroxide. This ingredient is used to destroy the bacteria that causes acne and pimples. I really like using it, I bought one tube and used it all up and I saw good results. I highly recommend Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 especially to teenagers or anyone who has zits and pimples popping up. While it did not work right away or overnight for me, I did see a significant difference if I applied the product at night and then reviewed the area in the morning. I recommend it because it does help, just not as quickly as any commercials for any acne gel would want you to believe. The gel is very light so it doesn't feel like you're applying junk to your face. The only problem I saw was that it dries out your skin a little around the zit or pimple but I'm pretty sure that's how you get rid of acne...by sucking away the oils, so that's a very minor issue. I trust the brand and I used the product for many years. Price-wise, it is not that bad compared to a lot of other similar gels on the market. Even if you do feel like it is expensive, I feel like it's worth it to at least try!

Strong Acne Cream

I have an oily T-zone, get 2-3 pimples before my period, and massive breakouts under extreme stress. I had been previously using Clearasil's Acne Treatment Cream for my pimples. I found that after a couple weeks, the Clearasil cream became less effective. I bought this Persa-Gel10 for about $8 at Walmart and tried it out during one of my massive breakouts. The first couple times I used it, it dried my pimples out fast without the burning sensation you get from other topical acne treatments. It's been about 3 months, and I have found that the Persa-Gel10 has been becoming less effective. I still get results, it just takes longer to clear up pimples than it used to. After using literally hundreds of over-the-counter and prescribed acne treatments, I found Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10 was the most effective product on the shelves. As a college student my skin had broken out very badly due to stress and constant sweating as an athlete. Nothing I used worked until I tried Persa-Gel 10. Even after using just once I noticed my blemishes smaller and definitely not as red. After using for some time I found that if I put in on problem areas before bed time every other night, instead of daily, my break out would clear in less then three days. I would recommend this product to anyone who has struggled with difficult acne and have tried various other products with no success. Persa Gel will work! It has been a complete live saver!

The only complaints about this product is that it has a harsh smell. Also if used too frequently it can dry out non-problem skin areas.
