This product is very strong and easy to apply. It is gentle and works very quickly. It is more cream-like than gel like stated in the title. It is a small tube; 1 ounce size but it is not expensive and can easily be found in any drug store or large department store. Effectiveness I prefer this product over others on the market because it is more effective. It is stronger than normal over-the-counter treatments. Ease of Application Very easy to apply to the skin. I just use the tip of my finger to rub a little on to clean and dry skin. I only use this for spot treatment and not for the whole face as it is very drying. Side Effects My only complaint about this cream is that it is very drying to the skin! I do not recommend using this if you already have dry skin. With this I make sure to put a very good moisturizer on after applying the cream to any blemishes. Immediacy I have seen some blemishes gone the next day. More stubborn ones do take longer.

I prefer Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10 to other acne treatments because it is in gel form instead of cream. I use it on my problem areas and it helps to dry them out, but the drying does not make my skin peel like other acne treatments. I still use a lotion to keep my skin moisturized, but I use it because I like to keep my skin feeling soft, not because this gel product dries it out too much. I notice a difference in the acne within a week of using this product. It brings the blemish to the surface and then dries it out so it goes away faster. I have noticed that it has lessened the amount of acne I get on a regular basis. I have naturally oily skin in some places and this product helps that issue too. I would definitely recommend using this acne reducing product over other cream acne reducers. The gel works better and seems to absorb faster to get the medicine into the problem areas of my skin.

As a disclaimer, I've never had super bad acne so I can't say how this product would work for that type of skin. I do however occasionally get a pimple on my face and this cream does the trick of drying it up and making it go away fast. I will often put a thin layer on my skin where I normally have issues (chin) and the medicine will keep away the pimples when I remember to do it consistently. I like how this medicine is sold at regular stores without a prescription and while the price may seem a bit high for such a small tube you only need a small amount and it is a lot cheaper than going to a doctor. Side Effects The only two things I've had to worry about with this creme are the white color it leaves after you apply it and dryness with too much use. I can cover up the white color by being careful to only use a small amount. I do however have to watch at how dry my skin gets because without applying moisturizer to my face regularly my skin will start to flake from this medicine.

This has been so great. I often rub it in on a spot and then apply a bit of product without rubbing it in so it can slowly work it's way in overnight or throughout the evening if I'm not busy and don't need to go out. It drastically reduces the swelling for me on the big ones that seem to pop up out of nowhere. It does dry a bit but sometimes it is anything it takes to get rid of bumps. Effectiveness It dries out my acne when I have a few bumps here and there that need taken care of. It is a bit harsh sometimes so I recommend using it for spot treatments only. Do not use it for large areas of skin. Also, it's a little harsh on sensitive skin. Ease of Application Super easy to use. The tin foil on the product is a minor annoyance when you first open it and occasionally a little product squirts out of the tube. Convenience It is very convenient and easy to store and carry anywhere. Small tube and resealable so your product lasts a long time. Side Effects It does have benzoyl peroxide in it so it dries the skin quickly. Using it several times a day and for several days can dry out the acne but it also tends to dry the skin around it and sometimes cause the skin to actually peel somewhat like a sunburn spot might. Immediacy I have to say it does take down the swelling pretty quickly but it can take several days to knock out the obnoxious bumps. But insofar as taking out the swelling, it does a great job of doing so within hours.

I never had an acne problem during my teens (when I would have expected it). Instead I developed blemishes on my back and abdomen once I hit my thirties. They appear to be chronic and I've experienced break-outs frequently in the intervening twenty years or so. I use several products to treat the acne and one of them is Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10. It contains benzoyl peroxide like some other acne treatments and it's been a help. It comes in a small 1 ounce tube and is creamy. I clean the affected area thoroughly before applying the cream (I use an acne-fighting astringent for cleaning) and use a fairly lavish amount. It doesn't absorb extremely quickly and does leave a residue on my skin for awhile (it's somewhat "tacky" for at least five or ten minutes after application.) For my hard-to-reach back, I found that using a kitchen spatula as an applicator works pretty well. The cream doesn't have a strong odor, although the smell isn't particularly nice. When I started using Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 it took about three or four days as I recall to begin to see results. While the medication didn't completely clear up the problem for each breakout it did significantly reduce the problem. It obviously isn't a cure for acne and I have to use it regularly to get the best results. Clean & Clear has a whole line of acne-fighting products and I've found that using additional products at the same time as part of the overall regimen gives better results. Effectiveness When breakouts occur and I use it regularly, the medication works well to reduce the acne. Ease of Application It doesn't absorb on my skin quickly and does leave a tacky residue for awhile after application. Convenience Very convenient. Side Effects I haven't experienced any side effects. Immediacy I saw results in a few days.

Persa Gel 10 has allowed me to enjoy clear skin for years now, and without having to resort to expensive products and time consuming routines. Effectiveness I still get the occasional blemish, but overall, there's been a noticeable difference in my complexion since began using Persa Gel. Ease of Application Easy peasy- just apply as directed and let it do all the work. It's the only brand I've used that applied easily on the skin without leaving a visible residue. Convenience There's no complicated, time consuming regiment involved, and the tube is small enough that it can be easily taken with you if needed. Side Effects If you've never used benzoil peroxide product, be warned, it will dry out your skin at first, and not just a little bit, either. I mean really noticeable flaking. Just be sure to apply a moisturizer along with it for the first couple weeks. Immediacy It works very well, but may you may not see results for a few weeks, and you have to be religious about applying it. Skipping a few days can undo weeks of use. I can't emphasize that enough. You MUST apply it every day. I'm convinced that the reason who so many people resort to expensive, complicated and often flat-out silly skin care regiments is because they don't follow through with much easier benzoil peroxide based solution like Persa Gel, declare that it doesn't work, then despair and move onto something ridiculous and difficult.

I tried persa gel on my acne and did not see much of a result. It made me red and it made me peel. I even got extremely itchy if i used it two nights in a row. It is more effective on light to moderate acne as a spot treatment. If you put this all over your face like I did, you will not get the result you are looking for. It is not a substitute for prescription products. It is pretty harsh, especially around your mouth and eyes. It is thick and dries kind of white. I could not put it on before applying make-up. When it dries on your skin it can feel like its cracking or tight. I would do a couple nights of a test area, because I am not so sure that my itching wasn't an allergic reaction. It is not deep penetrating and might not be effective on cystic acne. It found that it is better on a popped pimple to dry it up rather than heal new acne. The dryness and flaking that comes with this product will require a heavier face lotion. It is the strongest peroxide based gel you can get over the counter, but after dealing with acne for 15 years, I have found that stronger is not always better. If you get the skin raw, which can happen in two days with this gel, you let in bacteria which can make acne worse.

Whenever I get a random pimple or blemish overnight I use this product because it literally dries it all out and it's gone, almost entirely. This really works!! I'll never use anything else but this because it gives you fast results!! Effectiveness It gives quick results, and you really couldn't get a product that would give you better results! It dries out pimples soo fast and I have really bad acne and now my face is literally clear! I wash my face with Panoxyl, then apply this to any blemishes or pimples. Then I wake up and those pimples are not even there anymore!!! It's so awesome! It totally saves your life!!

I've found this product to be highly effective in decreasing acne breakouts, however have been frustrated with the fact that it bleaches clothing, towels and sheets. Effectiveness This is one of the few on the spot acne medications that's worked well for my skin. When I have a break-out, I often see a reduction in redness or size the next morning. Side Effects I've experienced some excessive drying, however, when only applied to the problem areas, not as much. I've also had problems with this product bleaching clothing, towels and sheets.

Clean and Clear Persa-Gel does work for most people with acne, but it comes at a price. There are only a handful of benzoyl peroxide products sold in gel form over the counter and this one happens to be one. The main problem with this product is that it has too much benzoyl peroxide in it. Benzoyl peroxide can dry out your skin at a low percentage, but at 10% it extremely drys out the skin to the point it becomes worst than the acne it's fighting. Your skin will be burned, beet red, and very flaky after a couple days of applying the gel. It drys out the skin to the point moisturizer has no effect. The damage done by this product is reversible once you get off it, but your acne will come back. If your skin clears up using this product, but the side effects are brutal on the skin I would suggest using a lower dosage of benzoyl peroxide. It will give the same results with very few side effects. I can not recommend this product because it does unnecessary damage to the skin.
