Clay Aiken - On My Way Here Review Summary

On My Way Home is the the third and, by some accounts, best album by American Idol Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken. He may have been the runner up to Ruben Studdard 5 years ago, but he has far surpassed the victor in sales and popularity since then. That's because many consider him "Still the Purest Male Voice" in pop music today and because "There's a magic in Clay when he sings live in front of an audience, something magical in the way he connects." On My Way Home shows us why he has out sold every male graduate of American Idol with ballads "Some of it is hauntingly beautiful" and lively pop ditties, including the title track which was written by One Republic front man Ryan Tedder. According to our reviewers, Mr Clay Aiken is your singer of choice "If you really enjoy good music and a good voice to go along with it". On My Way Here was released on May 6, 2008 and available everywhere.

I hesitate to put this down in print, for fear my Claymate number will be taken away from me, but Clay Aiken's music since American Idol isn't usually my first choice for something to listen to ... but it's Clay! Downloading his latest CD, On My Way Here, I found more of the same to match the output of his first album, Measure of a Man.

Having been a fan of American Idol since season one, I saw every moment of Clay's journey, his metamorphosis from a gawky young man with a surprisingly beautiful voice, to a handsome, confident young man with a voice to melt. He nearly became an also-ran during...

Clay Aiken "On My Way Here"  If you really enjoy good music and a good voice to go along with it, I think everyone will enjoy this cd if you give it a chance.  The ballads are beautiful and the uptempo songs are a real treat because there is a good voice to go along with them.  There really is a little taste for everyone no matter what you prefer.  Its hard to sit still during Ashes,Falling, Where I Draw the Line and I love As Long As We're Here.  The musicians are second to none and yet they don't overpower the singer.  This cd is a treat for everyone.  Give it a try.
