Claritin D really helps me fight my allergies year round.  I don't know if it is supposed to do that but it does.  My doctor recommended it to me, and it doesn't fail me.  I am fortunate to get it free because I am a disabled vet, but I would be willing to pay the price for it since it works so well. ... review »

This is the time of year when my allergies act up the most. It is virtually dry outside right now, but we are into the fall. When the leaves come off the trees the spores start getting into the air. It will only get worst when the moisture is added to the decaying leaves and the mold starts to grow.
When I get up in the morning I can feel the stuffiness in my head, along with the drainage at the back of my throat. Not a very pleasant feeling when you can't get a good breath.
About 4-5 times a week I reach for my allergy medication, Claritin-D 12 hour. I have tried many...

I have used Claritin-D ever since it first came out.  I have always suffered from allergies.  Mine are year round too, which means having to take allergy medicine all year.  I suffer from scratchy throat, runny nose, itchy eyes, and major-league sinus headaches.

Claritin is available in many different forms, and I have used all of them.  You can purchase it in a 24 hour or 12 hour form.  Additionally, you can purchase it with or without the decongestant.  I have found that what works best for me is the 12-hour form with the decongestant.  If I take just an antihistamine, then I get a headache...

I have suffered from severe allergies for 25 years, being allergic to grass, trees, weeds, dogs and cats.  I have tried lots of prescription medicines as well as over the counter ones over the years.  I found great relief with claritin the first time I tried it.  I don't suffer anymore with itchy, watery eyes, constant stuffed up or runny nose and sinus pressure and headache.  We had cats in the house prior to me finding out I was allergic to them and the claritin made it bearable for me.  Ultimately I had to get rid of the cats because of other reasons, but don't think I could have kept...

I dislike taking pills but when I need to, these really do work and are worth the occansional dry mouth.  just have to remember to drink a little extra water through out the day and the dry mouth will not be a problem.  I get hives from cold air, and if I take one of these 15 minutes or so before going out I don't suffer from welts or that painful burning feeling.  I also suffer from a unknown allergy when i go outside in the summer and fall that affects my legs.  I get red burning welts from either air bourne grass clippings or moldy leaves and the clartin really helps stop the pain. ...

To me Claritin is not effective. From everyone that I've talked too they get immune to this medication within a week of taking it, but everyone has a different way their body reacts to medication. Claritin is used for seasonal allergic rhinitis with nasal congestion. When I took one 24 hour pill it really didn't do anything, if it did it might have worked for just a couple of hours. Somethings people don't really watch for are the contradications like narrow-angle glaucoma which is a disease of the eye, urinary retention, severe hypertension or coronary artery disease. It can also be used for... review »

I used to take this for several years before it became an Over the Counter medicine and it worked great.  Now I take the generic version of this - only because its not covered by insurance and the generic is much cheaper where I buy it.

This medicine worked quickly and I never felt drowsy because of it.  I actual felt like I had more energy - though not like a "high" of any kind.

I would still take this today if it weren't for the fact that it is an OTC and not covered by insurance and too costly.

Having rarely a cold or flu, I started going through periods of weeks at a time where I would develop the dry cough syndrome.  At a doctors visit, he gave me a sample of Claritin D as a test.  Well, it worked right away.  The relief is complete and there are no noticeable side effects.  The Claritin D seems to be a little on the expensive side when compared to a standard antihistamine but it is longer acting and doesn't result in the dopey feeling all day.

Most mornings I awaken to a harsh sneeze attack that doesn't seem to subside. I have two cats and am allergic to them. Normally I go to school so I'm not subjected to their dander, but when I am at home my sneezing doesn't seem to stop. Luckily, there's Claritin, which helps minimize most of my sneezing. However, if I wait too long, (which I often do, forgetting that when I stay home my cats' fur irritates me) it doesn't work at all. Just make sure you take it on time!

Wires me too much to take on a daly basis. The Decongestant does not work as well as the anti histamine. It's not effective for cold congestion. I take the antihistamine when I get my allergy shots to avoid allergic reactions to my shots. I would like to be able to just purchase the claritin without the decongestant as when it was a prescription drug.

This medication works great. It works quickly. It does not make you sleepy or feel antsy. It got rid of all of my allergy symptoms. It works for just about the full twelve hours. I would deffinately recommend this product to someone else. I was completely satisfied with this medicine. It is a good brand for a decent price.

Someone recently recommended Claritin D to me because Benadryl had always made me very drowsy. Claritin D works just as well as Benadryl without the drowsiness. It relieves all my allergy symptoms, helps me breathe better, and is not too drying.   Definitely worth every penny!!!

I'm an allergey suffer from way back and this product works for me without drying my nasal passages out nor does it make me drowzy.  Also with some other products I've tried they leave me with a headache however this product does not.  I highly recommend this product.
