i use this product on a daily basis. it is gentle on my color treated hair. i would recommend it to all; you will not be disappointed!

There was a period of time(for a couple years around 2005) when I would only purchase this shampoo, because of its wonderful scent! It does not only smell good, but the scent also last long. For sometime later, I could not find this product on the market anymore. In recent years I was able to purchase it online again. This shampoo leathers pretty well, and in my opinion is especially for oily hair because it can make your hair super lightweight and smooth. The downside for me, ( I have normal to dry hair), it made my hair a bit too dry. I have I normally do not use a conditioner, but this product I do-- and it helps! I highly recommend this product for its affordability, scent, and pretty good quality.

I used to use the rose version of this shampoo, and decided to try this one, and I will never use it again. Although it did wash away dirt and grime from my hair without stripping it of moisture, this shampoo triggered a severe allergic reaction. My feet got these huge, red rashes and it was because there was some chemical in this conditioner. I had to go see the hospital, so I definitely am not buy this product ever again. Beware people who have sensitive skin! Effectiveness This shampoo did remove dirt and oil from my scalp, but it triggered an allergic reaction for me. I don't have extremely sensitive skin either, so I had to go to the hospital for them to diagnose me. This shampoo caused me to have hives, so I don't plan to ever buy or use this shampoo ever again in my lifetime. I advise people with semi-sensitive skin to beware of this product because it may cause an allergic reaction. Scent This product has an almost industrial like kitchen-lemon fragrance. It sort of smells like a mixture of dish and hand soap. The scent is nothing amazing or outstanding.

I used this shampoo when I had permed hair. I really loved it. It made my hair easy to comb through and soft. I hardly ever had split ends and my hair was not dried out like straw from perming. I wore a lot of mousse and gel in my hair and it cleaned it so well. I was so happy with the performance of this shampoo. I have thin, fine hair and it didn't weigh it down, make it greasy or drag my curls down. This is a must have shampoo for permed or curly hair. I loved the smell too. It was really refreshing and clean. I could smell it in my hair all day. I would like to point out that I started dying my hair red and stopped perming my hair. I had to stop using this shampoo because my color seemed to fade a lot faster than when I switched to a different brand of shampoo. I was disappointed because I really liked the way this shampoo performed on my hair. I give this shampoo a ten rating for its moisture balancing. I highly recommend it to anyone that still perms their hair or has dry hair.

I usually alternate between shampoos. I purchased this because I love the Herbal Essence Line. I suffer from dry hair that's been over processed due to bleaching, perming and coloring. I was looking for a shampoo that not only provided moisture but would retain the moisture after washing. After my first wash I didn't notice anything different. The smell was good. I then blow dryed my hair and applied serum. To my surprise my hair didn't feel as dry and brittle as before. I don't know if the shampoo did all the work but I must say I was quite pleased with my hair that day. If you use this shampoo try using it in conjunction with a quality hair serum for best results. The scent of the shampoo is fresh and invigorating. Not surprised because I used to use thier body washes back in high-school. Wish they would bring those back. . The price is good for the amount of shampoo you get. Depending on your hair type it would be well suited for hair that requires moisture retention

I first purchased Herbal Essences around the time it came out 20 years ago and was always happy with the smell and the way it left my hair feeling fresh and clean. Clairol was one of the first companies to market herbal shampoo in a drugstore type market (not health food store). Effectiveness Washing my hair about 3 times a week and conditioning about 1 time a week, this product left my hair feeling clean. The conditioners are great, too, and really fit well with the shampoos. Scent This product has a great scent and it smells clean and fresh. It is not an overpowering smell that stays in my hair for a long time and that is a positive thing for me. Since it is made with natural herbs and botanicals, it smells more natural, like the smell of flowers.

For how much this stuff costs it is a good product. It lathers up extremely well, and leaves my hair clean and free of any residue. But it feels just like any shampoo does which was a disappoint to me. I was hoping it would "hydrate" my hair more and leave it feeling softer. Once the weather starts to get cold, I notice that my hair starts to have less softness to it. This product did NOT help bring back the softness that I love. But it did do a good job doing what it needs to do which is clean my hair. I've done reviews on Herbal Essence before and just like the others I have to comment on how great the smell on this is! I am a big fan of shampoos that keep my hair smelling great and well make it not smell like hair. The scent in this stuff is heavenly, it always make my showers smell like I am in a spa and leaves my hair smelling great throughout the whole day. Effectiveness It does not do as advertised but it does clean my hair well. As far as the hydration goes, it doesn't add any softness or make my hair less dry so based on that I am only going to give it a six for effectiveness.

I have used this product for many years to wash my hair. This product is very inexpensive to purchase and meets all my requirements. The shampoo lathers very easy and rinse very effectively. The shampoo has the same scent as the conditioner, so I would strongly recommend using them in combination. Lastly I like the bottle design and for the purchase price it has a pretty good amount of shampoo per bottle. Effectiveness This product is very effective in cleaning my hair. This product is available in different types of scents and can be tailored for different types of hair. This shampoo lathers very easy and does an excellent job in keeping my scalp hydrated. Scent The scent of this product is exactly what I was looking for. It is not too strong and is designed for my type of hair. I just wish there were other scents available for my hair type, however I am please with this shampoo.

I bought and tried Clairol Herbal Essence moisture balancing shampoo a few times before. It does a good job at cleaning my hair. I like the fact I don't have to use a lot of the shampoo to get it to lather properly to wash my hair thoroughly. It leaves my hair feeling soft and smelling good all day. Effectiveness Clairol's Herbal Essence Moisturizing shampoo does a good job at cleaning and making my hair feel and look healthy. I have more of a oily hair type and this shampoo does a decent job at making my hair less oily. The shampoo leaves my hair feeling softer and silkier. My hair is thick and tends to frizz out after washing and drying it. It could take up to a hour to even fix my hair. After using the Herbal Essence moisture balancing shampoo, I noticed that my hair isn't as frizzy as it usually is and that my hair is more easier to style. If you have problems with oily and frizzy hair, this shampoo might be great for you. It worked for my untamable hair and it might work for yours too. Scent The scent of the Clairol Herbal Essence moisture balancing shampoo has a pleasant scent to it. The scent last all day and into the next day. I wouldn't say it is the best smelling shampoo but it still leaves a nice scent to my hair.
