City Cosmetics City Lips - San FranKISSco 0.1 fl oz. Review

Do lip plumpers really work? Not so much. But City Lips, I have found, DOES work to a degree.

I recently purchased City Cosmetics City Lips in San franKISSco and liked the shade and the subtle plumping - without pain!

The Product

This product is part of City Lips' first generation of colored lip glosses. They have a new generation out now that is supposed to plump even better. I got a deal on this. It was just $10.00 because the new formula was just about to launch. It is back to being $29.00 at most beauty stores on and offline.

This is a plummy, purple shade that is semi sheer with no glitter or sparkles. It is a bit sticky but nit unbearable. It brushes on with the attached little brush applicator.

My Use

I had used City Lips before so I knew what to expect. The gloss goes on quite nicely - pigmented but still sheer and natural. There is no burn or sting with City Lips. It does its work in other ways besides the usual cinnamon and spices that plumper use to draw blood to the lips and make them appear fuller.

I really like City Cosmetics City Lips in San franKISSco, both in hue and in how it plumps my lips. Now, don't get my wrong. It doesn't suddenly give me Angelina Jolie lips. I just see a slight fullness, a plumping of the fine lines on my kips, and an overall attractive mouth.

The gloss is a tad sticky and lasts about an hour before fading. If I eat or drink, it is gone.

It doesn't leave a ring around my lips or any kind of weird look behind.

You can use this as a night treatment as well. The colored glosses have the exact ingredients (plus color) as the clear overnight treatment. In time, lips are supposed to be fuller all the time.

Well I can't vouch for that but, when I wear it, City Cosmetics City Lips - San franKISSco makes my lips look better and that's good enough for me.

My Viewpoint

I like City Lips. Along with DuWop's Lip Venom Gloss, it is my favorite lip plumper. San franKISSco is a great shade of plummy purple that looks really flattering on me.

I don't get a trout put when I wear this bit I do get a bit fuller lips and a great looking mouth.
