Citibank - Upromise Mastercard Review Summary
Saving for college takes time and money and one credit card designed to aid in the savings process is
Citibank Upromise MasterCard, a credit card that adds money to your Upromise savings account for future education expenses. Citibank Upromise MasterCard is easy to use and charges no annual fee, making it a “Great Way to Earn Money Towards Your Children’s Education”. There are only a few drawbacks to using the Citibank Upromise MasterCard, namely the fact that there is a set limit on annual rewards and also the fact that you have to remember to use it whenever possible and then pay off the balance as soon as possible to avoid interest. But with a little discipline, the Citibank Upromise MasterCard can be a very good
Credit Card to own and it can help parents reach their educational financial goals more quickly.

free gift card rewards junkie, don't carry a balance, interest conscious, an online shopper, researcher, always looking for ways to save, appreciative of good service, pay my cc bill off each month
I started using my citi right away for gas intead of my previous card. I used it for groceries and some other shopping. I eventually signed up for the 529 with a min contribution of $250. It was a one time contribution or you could set up a monthly contribution. — When my upromise account statement comes I love looking at the transactions posted to my account because there is always something going into my college fund. It has now earned over $1000 since I first joined. Please read info on it before joining because there are fees associated with the 529 and…

always looking for ways to save, into finding great deals online, Responsible Honest Citizen
Have used the Citi Upromise Platinum Select Mastercard for the last 2 years and I still love it. I am able to save 1% of my purchases in my Upromise account for my children's education. There is no annual fee, but the APR is a bit higher than some of my other credit cards. The payment due date also changes, which can be a hassel. The website makes it easy to make payments online and keep track of your account. Another great feature is that you can add your picture to the card and get online security account numbers to use when shopping online. I have…

expecting good, fair service, a homeowner, want's good service, a busy person, always looking for ways to save, appreciative of good service, not rich, online banker
I signed up for the Upromise Citicard to increase the amount of money I can contribute toward my daughter's college education. She's only 10 but you can never start too early. This card is terrific. They follow through with their promises. I added over $135 the first year to her NYS529 plan. Like all credit cards, it's a smart idea to pay the balance off each month. After all, with this card, the more you have available the more you can spend and the more you can earn…

online banker, an online shopper, Responsible Honest Citizen, a pet owner, I believe in honesty, pay my cc bill off each month, not rich, always looking for ways to save
Upromise is a great way to save for college, instead of the cheesy rewards that most cc companies offer, or the 1% cash back that you know you'll spend before you save, the 1% reward that you get goes directly to your child's 529 account. You can also shop through the links on their website for additional savings. For instance, I love Gap, and by shopping through the link on Upromise I get 2% additional savings! All in all, if you can remember to use it it's a great way to…
