I am a consumer that pays off my credit card every month. In December I was out of town for a couple weeks and when I returned, my credit card was past due. I was charged 39.00 late fee and called customer service for assistance and asked to have the late fee taken off. I was told it could not be taken off. I paid the late fee and asked to have my credit card account to be closed. I e-mailed Citi to see if they would assist and was told the same answer. I paid off the card and the next month I was charged $1.00 for late fees. I called and that was taken off of the account. I feel that Citi should have worked with me after years of being a consumer.
