Citi - Driver's Edge Options Platinum Select MasterCard

Citi - Driver's Edge Options Platinum Select MasterCard

They closed my account without warning for low usage and gave me no option to keep it open. I lose the credit line and rewards. I might well have used it had I known, but they left no option. It's a bad business practice. I'm sorry we can not do business and plan to avoid citi for any other accounts as well.

I had a Citi Driver's Edge card for years, but they've closed the account with little warning and given me no option to keep it open. This is a terrible business practice. I'm going to avoid Citi if at all possible. I lose the credit line I wanted to keep and may well have used the card heavily again.

My card is accepted everywhere, even internationally. Citi is pretty good about adjusting my credit limit as needed, and lowering my interest rate when I ask. Customer service speaks ENGLISH, and WELL, so that is a huge plus in my book.

Citbank used to be one of our best credit cards, but since this recession they have dropped our limit and raised our interest rate to 29.99%. Even though we have never missed a payment to our account. Would not recommend this credit card to anyone at this time until this recession/depression we are in is over.

we got the Home Depot credit card several years ago and just recently finished paying it off. The APR skyrocketed the next year after we opened it, they charge and overcharge onto their own charges. We even got a late fee charge after we completely payd it off-apparently they start counting as overdue from the moment they release the statement-very frustrating. Stay away if you can

Let me just lay it out on the table.  Citi is HORRIBLE.  When they aren't trying to con me into talking out exorbitant loans, they are screwing me over by jacking up my interest rates to psychotic levels.  You can't get their customer service people to give you a straight answer, or to do what you want.  I have tried to cancel this card 2-3 times when I had my balance down to zero and was unsuccessful each time.  They dodged and dodged and dodged until after 20 minutes I realized I was using all my phone minutes.  I have nothing good to say about this institution, sadly.  My biggest goal...

First and foremost,I have an impeccable payment record for anything I have ever borrowed. When I first used Citi Mastercard Diamond Preferred Rewards I thought they were a reputable company. They gave me a great rate on balalnce transfers that were good untill paid off.The rate on purchases was low also. They called me one day and asked me to use my card more often for purchases because it would benefit me with more rewards.Trusting them at the time , I complied, and used it more often.About 6 or 7 months after the call I get a notice in the mail, that they were raising my rate on purchases(past...

With the recent happenings in the economy and the upcoming possible changes in the laws that govern issuers of credit, Citi has taken this opportunity to stack the deck in their favor, regardless of what it will do to their loyal customers.

To start with, this card's rewards point (The Thank You Network) really isn't worth it compared to some other point systems.  The rewards require a lot, and I mean a LOT of activity to really earn anything useful.

Customer service is obviously not somewhere that they are spending the tons of money they're making.  With the recent developments of them raising...

Go for it only if you are sure that you can clear of the debt in the first 4-6 months.

I just wanted to say that i have had this citi mastercard since age 19. I have never missed a payment over the last 3 years. I applied for the card because Citi offered a balance transfer APR of 5.99% for the life of the balance, and a 7.49% for any new purcahses made. This is a really good APR for a 19 year old with barely any credit. Well, about 2 months ago i got a letter in the mail saying they were going to up my interest rate to 29.99%. For ABSOLUTLY NO REASON! I called and tried to reason with them, turns out they are upping numerous credit card APR's on a lot of people's credit cards. KEEP...
